Hox's arrow disappears beneath the eye of the cyclops so quickly that the creature does not even react as it falls, shaking the floor of the room to join its companion in death.
OOC: Gruun and Hox have each received 2,300 XP for defeating the cyclopes.
Room Description:
The room is apparently the intersection of many passages. There is a door across the room from the one you used to enter and another on the wall immediately to its left.
Above the corpses of the cyclopes, a symbol of a single eye has been etched onto the wall.

KILLIAN, RYCIDER & TANAKIR:
All limbs seem accounted for, and the slamming upon the door has ceased, though growling and snarling can still be heard from beyond it.
The familiar sight of the ten-foot-wide corridor continues forward for thirty feet before turning to the left.
OOC: Killian, Rycider and Tanakir have each received 2,250 XP for navigating past the otyughs.
Killian frowns. "We all survived, but at what cost? I am weakened, I'll not survive the next fight... will you listen this time? When I say go... go, and leave me. That ghost wanted us to work together, but that does not imply it expects us all to survive."
She limps forward to the left turn, looking around the corner warily.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Gruun sits against a wall, as far from the doors as he can, and starts digging around his pack. "Lets take a moment here Hox. I don't want to run into something else just yet. Here have some of my rations." (Voting for a short rest here for some hit dice)
If there’s nothing dangerous around the corner, Killian will come back to the others. “We can rest. Have you seen, or heard, any of the others? I wasn’t shown an image of Aradurk. It may be that he has already fallen.”

Time passes safely as you rest amid the deceased giants. The room is quiet, aside from the occasional bugs and rodents that scamper through.
OOC: If you would like to roll any hit dice, please do so in your next post.

KILLIAN, RYCIDER & TANAKIR:
Killian scouts ahead, peering around the bend - it appears that the corridor continues for a considerable distance, branching to the left at least twice ahead. Nothing obstructs the passage as far as she can see.
Time passes safely, and you slowly recuperate from the previous struggle; it would seem that the otyughs are content with their undead meal. The sounds of battle continue for many minutes, but eventually cease, and neither they nor the vampire spawn that had fought beside you return to the closed door.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(After the short rest.)
Hox scrambles about the room for a moment, catching the vermin to snack on later. He then flies up to inspect the eye, giving it a glance over for anything standing out.
Once Hox is done Gruun will move to the door across from their entrance. "Straight ahead? Or should we take another turn?" Gruun will listen at the door a moment before they decide.
Killian nods, and heads down the long hall (around the left corner) until she arrives at the first passageway. She will quickly look around the corner without stepping out.

GRUUN & HOX:
Gruun Perception: 10
Listening carefully at the door opposite from the entrance of the room, Gruun does not hear anything noteworthy from the other side. Hox examines the eye, but it likewise finds nothing significant about its etching. It looks as if it was crudely carved into the stone, which would have taken significant force.

KILLIAN, RYCIDER & TANAKIR:
The time spent with the strange javelin is enough for Tanakir to discover its abilities. It is a javelin of lightning. Once its command word is spoken, it transforms into a bolt of lightning until it strikes its target.
Killian leads you around the corner and down a long hallway. Further ahead, you find a small branching path with nothing but dead ends, but the corridor continues on for another hundred feet.
You eventually come to another intersection, where the path ahead of you dead ends, but to the left, the corridor branches and continues. At the intersection, the walls are lined with large, rusting iron spikes, leaving only enough space for one person to walk through at a time.

Hox floats down, "Giant ones are strange. Hox see why mighty dragons not like them." Hox says as he takes a ration.
