Uthal nods his head and places his free hand on the door. "Stick together, don't let anyone get separated." With that he shoves the door open and begins making his way in the direction Ura pointed.

"Alright."Ander dons his helmet. "I can take the lead. You two watch my back?" He gestures at the tiefling and the dwarf. "Give my companions a little room to breathe." Ander hefts his shield and strides over to the door.
Even though it was only five or six steps from the platform outside the main door, to the street below, the black cloud prevented Uthal from even seeing the bottom step. As he and Ander took point, Ura’s lantern hit the cloud illuminating it no better than had she shown it on a wall directly in front of her. The lantern’s light simply allowed the party to see how thick this black fog truly was. ((None of you are able to see beyond 5 feet in any direction.
A smell of ash hit the noise of each individual who crossed the threshold, however it wasn’t until physically crossing to the outside, that one could sense it. As if the smell required one to be completely surrounded by the fog.
Uthal’s dwarven fan stayed right on his heels, and they walked outside. “Lead the way, Destroyer. Take me out, to the black.” He turned back towards the tavern’s open door, not addressing whether he was speaking to someone specifically or just shouting to anyone listening, “tell ‘em I ain’t comin’ back.”
The sound of crackling flames, and a faint glow, is the only evidence of those shooting fires that Vincent had lit. Beyond those though, the sounds of grunts and scuffling, footsteps and loud thuds. Metal meeting meat and bone. And for one split second, just one, Ander and Uthal are able to see a horizontal blast of fire scorch through where Ura had previously seen the crowd of figures. After it subsided, the sounds resumed.
Uthal puts his hand on Ander's shoulder, holding his shield out to protect their right side. "Forward towards that I think Knight." Once they get close to the area with the spire Uthal utters a mumbled phrase in Giant and the symbol around his neck glows, brighter and brighter until a pool of twilight encompasses the entire group.

Kel nods to the Goliaths inquiry about the armored individual. "It's at least a target." The lot of them, from the lantern hefting elf to the armored human seemed eager to get into grips with an unknown number of undead to potentially save some individuals that may not want the help and despite the warnings from seasoned citizens of the city in which they stood. A smile came unbidden to him and he laughed behind closed teeth. He glanced to the helmed human as he spoke and gave a sharp nod. "I will do my best to shield them." Kel turned to the Tiefling that had warned them and bowed his head. "Kyye afr sih mapy culvdyv tafwul. Mih hafr ouryw kfrl kruqmz." With that said, he moved beyond the threshold and into the night.
Now
For a moment he was reminded of home as the scent of ashes washed over him, but it was quickly dismissed. ...would have been nice to have rested...He shook his head. There was grisly work to be done and he needed to be sharp. His grip tightened as his vision dwindled to scarcely just before his blade. He sighed as the dwarf spoke, but ignored his words. As the human took point and the Goliath and his dwarven puppy took the right, Kel moved to keep his blade on their left side. A dim light washed over him and he blinked. He felt invigorated, whether it was the hot bath, the flurry of blows from the Orc tenderizer, the salves, adrenaline or something one of the others was doing, he didn't really care. He kept pace. Searching the inky darkness for anything that meant to do them harm.

"Well, shit," Ura muttered under her breath, swinging the lantern right and left in a test and seeing... black. Sighing, she twirled her shortsword around once and then took a defensive posture, lantern up and sword out. Uthal muttered something under his breath, and Ura felt something a little more solid than her confidence bolstering her afterwards. "Hey, thanks,"she says quietly, continuing her slow creep forward towards the spurts of fire.
She tries to keep her other senses open to locate where the other combatants might be, though it's admittedly more difficult out here than in the relative safety of the bar, straining her ears to catch and filter what sounds she can.

Anearis followed his companions and the stranger outside. He had seen the darkness from inside the inn, but being in it was something else entirely. He could have had his eyes closed and he wouldn’t have made that much of a difference. Stepping out there was crazy and dangerous. But in his mind, it was still better than staying inside and waiting for everyone to die.
After hearing the few words muttered by the half-giant, Anearis felt his magical aura wash over him and made him feel slightly more confident about what they were about to do.
With the group now outside, Anearis tried to get his bearings strait. He focused on his hearing to try and figure out his surroundings.
In only a few paces, the entire group made their way down the steps and past the row of torches, seemingly embedded in the city street. There was about 5 feet between each flaming column, so while the heat was felt, you could pass between them fairly easily.
The sound of obvious combat was directly in front of all of you, even if you couldn’t directly see it. Uthal, Ander, and Kel stood in position to be able to see movement, but no detail to identify what it was or separate individuals. The crowd of combat is located 6 feet or so, directly in front (north) of the first line of the party ((Refer to posted map)).
Anearis managed to pick up a sound separate from the grunts and muffled yells of battle. To the left of the party (west) he heard a low beastial growl. Though the distance into the fog was unknown. Ura heard the separate sound of footsteps to the east, again distance unknown, but she could tell, they were coming this way.
As the party slowly progressed further into the unknown, Uthal’s dwarven fan-boy grew impatient and likely fearful of the unknown. Unable to stand it, he pushes between Uthal and Ander, and runs head first into the fog, towards the sound of battle, hammer held high. He disappears from sight. However, as his war cry, fades, it nearly immediately grows louder, as he reappears and rejoins the party. When he came back through the fog, he brought something with him. Having been grasping his ankle, he shakes it off before hiding again behind Uthal. On the ground between Uthal and Ander, a rotting hand and half a forearm. “I’ve decided that there is truly strength in numbers. I stand, with the Destroyer!”
"Smuz." Kel hissed as the dwarf charged forward. "Stay the line!" He quickly stated to the others, lest the dwarfs zeal cause the others to break formation and go charging in, no doubt shouting their names at the top of their lungs or some other foolish nonsense. "We will find him soon enough..." As if on que, the dwarf returned. Kel shook his head and closed his eyes. ...Azzeal, let me see... When he opened them a split second later he let his Divine Sense spread before him.
*Infernal: Poop. (Just not as nice)
Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity. Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the hallow spell.
Using Divine Sense, Kel was able to confirm that right beyond the black cloud’s edge, where none of the party could see, there stood multiple undead targets. (North) While those targets were well assumed, he additionally identified something undead, to the west, a single unidentifiable target. Perhaps the same thing that emitted the sound, Anearis heard previously.
The lantern doesn't seem to be doing much, and irritated, Ura lifts it high in one last attempt to see further. "This thing is useless," she declares to the others, preparing to blow it out. Then she raises an eyebrow while glancing at Ander and Uthal. "Well... useless to most of us. Will you two be alright if I extinguish this flame?"
Listening carefully, Ura manages to make out the sound of footsteps approaching from her side. "Something's coming from our right," she says lowly to the others. "Not sure if it's hostile." She prepares herself, facing the oncoming footsteps, to ready a magical bladestrike at whatever emerges from the blackness if it should prove to be hostile to the party.
Uthal looks off to Ura as the lamp goes out. "The goddess has blessed my eyes, don't worry about me. She has also allowed me to extend these benefits to others." He focuses and more of Selune's power flows from him to Ander.

As an answer to the party's expectations, and anticipations, hostile actions broke through the smoky barrier, and into view. A line of the undead figures, that Kel's senses had confirmed, jerkily stumbled through the fog, to meet the party's front line. The undead figures appear to be the rotting corpses of elves (U1 and U3) and a human (U2). They wore rotting remnants of clothing, though the middle figure ((U2 on map posted in Discord channel)), had some bits of chainmail, still hanging from barebones. However, no figure appeared to be missing a hand, so it's likely whatever grabbed the Dwarf, was in addition to the ones the group was now facing.

She then will disengage and swing back to her previous position in the rear (M6), holding her sword defensively.

Ura manages to easily slash at U3, for 9 points of damage, before causally strolling back into position, behind Uthal. The Undead figure could do naught but watch this occur, as it was too slow to do anything about it. It was difficult to tell, considering the black ash-like clouds that surrounded them all, but when Ura's blade cut open the undead elf, a black mist released through the open cut.

While Ander and Ura feel no potential effect from the undead dust that flew from the corpses' open wounds, both Kel and Uthal feel a dulling effect, half disorienting/half weakening. ((Disadvantage on all rolls for 1 minute. Perform CON saving throw at end of turns.))
