OKay based on what you've said, here is a map. I have taken lots of stuff off it just for easy visual (hopefully). Krom is at the door keeping an eye. As usual, if anyone is not where they want to be, just let me know. and it will be fixed before any combat happens.

Looking at Stabby, she says, "Okay, okay. We have to do this - it's only way. Stay here and shoot at them if you can. Okay?" Stabby is afraid, clearly fearful of Shamir. Sharpie jogs over, scimitar and dagger in hand. "What you want me to do? And where? Shamir is big brute, a bit not right in head, I think. Be careful. He not going to take prisoners, and he not going to be nice. Good news is he left Durnn, not many left there..."
Ithelion nods at Sharpie, "Shoot anything that comes to the door." If anyone does not have a bow, she throws a few on the ground from her bag, along with arrows.
She hands her Potion of Healing to Krom, "Use it -- you don't look well, and we need to hold the door..."

As you spread the caltrops and fish around for anything of use, you can hear movement in the hallway outside, they are very close - close enough to hear the clicking sound of nails on stone - you look at each other - more rats!
@daemyar, @krom, and @garnet - you are all watching the slightly ajar door when you see a giant rat come into view, followed by another beside it (E7 and E8). THe rat jumps into the area of the door and hisses as it lands on caltrops (dex check for caltrops DC15 - 20). The rat snarls and moves to attack.....Roll initiative!
@ithelion - if you want to do what was mentioned in OOC I will allow that before initiative.

@Shere - the bard lets loose a wild shot that tries to snake its way through the crowd, towards the rat. Shere tries to line it up but it goes wide and flies out the doorway - a miss!
G1 - G1 moves to the West until it is lined up with Daemyar and will loose an arrow - blocked a bit by R2 - at the gooshied hobgoblin! Attack:9Damage:4
G3- this goblin will move into range across from Garnet and fire at the Genasi, despite not having the clearest line of site because of R2: Attack:22Damage:3
Shamir- The hobgoblin takes his movement and readies his attack!

Right. Thus the request to draw them down the hall. Towards Calcryx’s room. Seemed like a good idea to me.
