Seeing her friends starting to throw away their caution, Nenne swallows her concern as a righteous indignation begins to burn in her chest. Her amulet radiates with divine light, and a skeletal red hand appears in the pit beside the battered golem. It swings down hard on the clay gladiator (23 to hit, 9 damage). A deep red cloud forms around it and sinks into its form as she says, "Kelemvor has judged my friend worthy to best you." (Channel Divinity - Path to the Grave. Next attack that hits does double damage.)
As the pit gets crowded and spells start fly through the air Allister finds it difficult to concentrate on his attacks. A low slash is parried a the constructˋs spear, but Allister´s upward slash is too fast for the golem. Trying to surprise his opponent with a thrust at the head he jabs his cutlass over the shield, but once more the golem´s astonishing speed enables it to raise its shield at the last moment.
Allister feels the glowing energy of the spell tug his weapon forward, surging into the golem as he strikes. Surprisingly, the tug still feels fully controlled - the sensation is awkward for the warrior, but the results are for the best. The weapon pierces through the thing and it cracks to pieces, quickly turning into sand. The glowing hot spear remains on the sandy pit floor. The other gladiators remain motionless.
Lemon, watching in awe as the guardian falls to the sand, stops the heating of the spear and advances with precaution until he is behind Allister. "Ye... ye did it Fighter. Ye killed the tin can." Lemon pats him on the back, however still cautious of the other warriors. "Ye earned that spear friend." He looks to everyone else, "Let the figter take the spear. He killed it."
Lemon stops though to catch himself. "How do any of ye propose we get the other spears..?"
"Ye are heard lound an' clear elf!" Lemon manages to yell. He turns around and goes back to his original position in the entrance before he looks back and casts another heat enticing spell (Heat Metal 4th level). The metal glows read on once more on the center most warrior, having Lemon to hope it deals enough damage and that he may keep concentration on it.
The skeletal hand slams down again, this time on the new target identified by Lemon (nat 20, 8 damage). Nenne points her mace at it and a ray of red light bursts forth, slamming into its torso (Guiding Bolt: 23 to hit, 13 damage, next attack has advantage).
Joining the fight Allister feints to the right with his cutlass. As the golem moves his shield and exposes its torso he rams his rapier into its chest... only to be intercepted by the spear that diverts the thrust enough to avoid serious harm. Flabbergasted that his attack was thwarted again he loses his momentum as his follow-up attacks are easily blocked
"Let us see if I can." Sthara repeats her last attempt, throwing a frigid sphere of magic at the new target (chromatic orb at 3rd Level: 22 to hit, for 24 cold damage)
The chromatic orb has the creature totally off balance for the first two hits, but it weirdly corrects itself for the third and spears Lemon in the arm (12 damage).
As the fight rages around him, Boosey finds himself in between the two sentinel like golems that are not involved in combat. Taking a deep breath, he glances at each in turn, disengages from the fight and turns to walk down the passageway. Finding himself next to the last but one cell, he quickly glances back towards the pit, then enters.....
With so many foes facing it the construct can’t concentrate on every attack. Allister takes his time, watching its movements and pattern. Timing his thrusts and jabs better this time he bypasses the blocking shield thrice.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Watching as the gnome ran off, Lemon became confused for but a second. Afterwards, he focused on the warrior ahead, and yelled to Allister. "Let's have at him fighter! Ye and I need to protect that door way now!"
With the mention of the doorway, Lemon flared his hands in the air and started a quick chant. Suddenly, next to Lemon, were two beasts (Conjure Animals: 2 CR 1 creatures, DM chooses). Having his eyes flare once more, the spear in the warriors hands flared with heat once more: 14.
The spell burns into the clay hands again until the crack off. The hands hit the sand and quickly dissolve. The body falls right behind it leaving a second spear for the taking.
A sense of dread washes over Nenne as she sees the bard enter the pit and disappear into the tunnel. "Where are you going?!" she cries out. Growling angrily, she darts over to where the rope is tied and rappels into the pit. "Boosey!" She calls from the mouth of the tunnel. The silence beyond unnerves her, and a vision of Funderburk's lifeless body flashes in her mind. "You fool, this place kills people! Are you all right?" Her words reverberate down the tunnel with an unearthly quality as divine power infuses them. (Spare the Dying)
Turning back to the creatures in the pit, she extends her mace toward one of the remaining constructs as another jet of red energy streams from it, but her concern over her missing friend makes her aim poor, and the divine energy bounces off its chestplate, doing no damage. She swears in her native language and holds her ground.
"This drags on. Make quick work of the remaining two, Allister, Orvex!" Sthara cries as she twincasts haste on the both of them. After she releases the spell, she folds some of the magical energy back through herself (eating three sorc points to get a level three slot back).

„Time to stop heating the spear.“ Once it’s safe to touch it Allister grabs it and lays it on the ground outside the pit.

"Don't stop now! We need all four," Nenne encourages. "Strike one and we will aid you!"

Orvex lets fly another well placed sling bullet (11 damage). He calls to Sthara, "Ha! Top that one!"

Pointing at the spear, Lemon takes a hold of it and passes it to Allister. " 'er ye go Fighter."

Orvex misses badly as the construct spurs into motion.
