Oloren bows his head, saying a brief prayer to the wildmother (casting guidance on himself) and he approaches the left opening stealthily trying to peak inside.

Oloren Stealth: 13 Oloren Perception: 20
It doesn't take much searching for Hops to see there are large amounts of tracks leading in and out of the Vault. They vary in age, some are very fresh, others are a few days old. Most of the tracks belong to humanoids. He's unable to count how many creatures have passed through, however, due to the sheer amount of tracks about.
Oloren approaches the entrance near the base of the hill, attempting to be quiet but steps on all manner of sticks and crunchy leaves on the way. Peaking into the entrance, he can't see much other than a hallway that leads deeper into the hill that seems to open up into a larger room at the end.
Felix examines the tracks further. "Considering the large number, these probably come from the undead hordes that have attacked the city every night," Felix reasons to the group. "Given this, should we move in and try to get the Star now or should we find a backway?"
(@Hops: In that case, the base entrance definitely has the most tracks. As you look at the other entrances, the amount of tracks lessen the higher you get.)
"It could be all manner of creatures, but it would be safe to assume undead may lurk here." Meklit said as she pulled on her goggles. "If we are trying to be stealthy, I do have a spell for that. Though it will take some time if we're trying to find magical items. I did not prepare that spell today."

The ever growing document of character concepts can never be too long, can it?
(What kind of tracks are the non-humanoid ones? And have we, having fought together before, know how to deal with undead? We've got a spores druid, so I figure at least one party member does, but I don't want to accidentally metagame.)
"Did I ever tell you about the time my friend Vandrik and I fended off thirty skeletons with nothing but a shovel and two left shoes? We could use his expertise here. Too bad his oath didn't allow him to leave his charge once our job was done. Pleasant fellow with quite a knack for sensing the undead. I know it's not usually my style, but I vote we take the high road," and he gives a wink and a chuckle.

(I'd say the group would know, in general, how to deal with undead, considering your experience. If there's something specific you want to know, just let me know.)
Felix leads the group up to the upper entrance. Entering the hole brings the party into a chamber about fifty feet wide and roughly circular. You can immediately hear the groans of undead beneath you and can see at least two dozen zombies shambling around, as well as 2 large frogs like creatures.
The upper hole opens into air about 40 feet above the ground. Looking down, you can see the middle hole is 20 feet above the ground, and the lowest hole is 10 feet above. Three 4-foot-thick wooden support beams crisscross the vaulted ceiling, with each hole leading onto one support beam. They roughly cross in the center, and ropes are tied around them, with each rope dangling to the beam below. Deep claw marks are gouged into the decaying wood, revealing how the husk zombies have climbed out of the hidden vault.
At the northwestern end of the chamber is a set of stone double doors inscribed with the hexagonal symbol of the Luxon.
(@Oloren, unfortunately not. I forgot to mention it in the post above but you guys walked through a tunnel before arriving at the chamber. If there wasn't a tunnel, I definitely would've let you do that because that sounds amazing. @Dimiter, Undead are on the bottom floor, as well are the doors. The party came in from the south so the doors are about 50ft away to the north.)
"I'm guessing just dropping some oil and flame down there isn't going to be an acceptable solution?" Dima asks quietly. His Echo appears behind him, and mimes chucking something. "I can get to the doors easily enough, if we just want to try racing through, but if the door is secured by something other than a physical lock, it won't be so quick."
(I have 2 long-running d&d fantasies. One is call lightning on a small captive group of monsters. The other is Storm of Vengeance on an enemy fortress from a mile away.)
"Surely with the vantage point we have we can eliminate this undead threat without much risk to ourselves. These zombies probably cant get to us with any manner of speed, and there are only 2 of those frog creatures."
"Some necromancy spells would have been great in this situation." Meklit grumbled. She looks over at the frog creatures, trying to figure out if she knows anything about them. (Arcana check?)

"I say let's try to avoid combat as much as we can. We're just in here to get the Star, right?" Felix asks the group. "We can just try to get in and out without them noticing us."

Hops looks around the openings for signs of recent travel.

Oloren goes back to the group members. "I can't see anything much down that entrance. Anyone care to investigate the other two?"
(OOC: Sorry, my intent was to figure out which entrance was the most traveled or "main" entrance)
"Well, this is clearly the most traveled path right here. Should we follow the path or try to scout around the other entrances first?"

"Well, I guess if we have a majority--" Felix responds. He leads them up the high road to the upper hole.

(Would Oloren be able to cast Call Lightning in the sky above the hill and send the lightning bolts down through the various holes to zap the undead?)
(Are all the undead on the bottom level? And are the stone doors also on the bottom floor? About how far away are they?)
