"These are undoubtedly the monsters that are plaguing the town and that will likely return to do so tonight. It seems irresponsible to leave such creatures standing and free to harm others."
"I could unleash a sleet storm while everyone peppers them with arrows and spells from above. This should hold them relatively still, but they would be obscured, making targets hard to see."
"I do better damage when I can see my targets," Dima says. "What about faerie fire?"
(I can't get sneak attack if I also have disadvantage, and if the sleet storm knocks anyone prone, ranged attacks will have disadvantage. Dima also does extra damage if we get a surprise round.)
Oloren waves his hands as flecks of purple light bubble from his fingertips.
"Faerie Fire is not a problem. Perhaps we focus on these frog-like beasts first?"
(Yea sleet storm may not be the best option here. I'm just jones-ing for a long-concentration spell that can hold devastation on an area from a safe vantage point.)
"I can't really attack from afar. I have two of these" -- he pulls out one of his handaxes from the bag of holding -- "but after that, my power is spent at this range."
(There isn't really any room to circle around since you guys are standing on a small ledge. The only way to spread people out is if they stand on the wooden support beam in a line. Sorry, its a bit hard to visualise since there's no map. I'll see if I can draw up a crude map.)
"Shouldn't we handle this like that goblin warren we flushed out last year? What if we all sit in the doorway down on the lowest level and have Oloren rain some chaos down on them from safety? When they all try to flee or attack us, they'll be funneled into the doorway where we'll be able to handle them a lot more easily. Mekky can probably be useful up top, too. And then we can have Dima drop in from behind if we'd like. Felix and I can hold the door."

(Is there a ground level doorway into this space? Maybe I was misunderstanding but it sounded like all the doors were up high and the targets would have to climb ropes to get out)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Yep, so they're 4 feet square in thickness and are as long as the room, so approximately 50ft long. They look sturdy enough to hold you guys. Also, sorry for missing your question about the frog creatures, Meklit.)
Meklit Arcana Check: 30
Meklit examines the frog like creatures and recognises them as Nergaliid, large scaled fiends that drain the life force of humanoids to feed itself. Creatures that die to the Nergaliid’s feeding leave a corrupted undead corpse behind, known as Husk Zombies.
"I think if you station yourself of the middle beam, your Echo should be able to reach enough of the ground level to work at range," Dimiter says. "I have a bow, and I can send my Echo out along the upper beam as well, to throw off where we are."
"The Nergaliids seem to be the ones creating the zombies." Meklit stated. "We will have to take them out first. They feed on our lifeforce, which knowing fiends it may very well give them some power."

The ever growing document of character concepts can never be too long, can it?
"Shit, we're going?" If any of the zombies or frog things are looking up Dimiter will send his own Echo out and attack before he loses surprised, but if no one is looking up to see Felix's Echo he'll hold.
None of the creatures seem to notice Felix's Echo being summoned. The room is dimly lit in the higher parts of the room, so it would most likely be difficult for the creatures to see the party.
(When you guys come up with a plan, just let me know what you want to do and I'll react accordingly. If you want, you can take the conversation to the OOC thread.)
"Well, I know how much you all love to hatch a plot. But I won't be helpful up here. I'll make my way down to the lowest level and wait in anticipation. You know me - go with the flow. I won't start anything but I'll be ready to jump in when you're ready. ...But I really think we should funnel unless Felix and Dima are itchin' for a fight." Hops turns away down the hall and heads to the lower level, quietly humming to himself and taking a sip from his wineskin.

"Ah, I understand." Felix will hold his shield tightly against his chest.
"There's no way they wouldn't notice when those doors open," Dima adds. "But we should be able to snipe a number of them from up here."
(Is this level big enough that we can circle around and stagger people around the opening looking into the bottom level?)

"I can cast Hold Person to make one of them easier to hit. We don't seem to have enough time to make the ground harder for them to move on."

(The lowest entrance is 10ft up but there is a set of double doors on the ground level northwest that lead deeper into the Vault.)
(How sturdy do the beams look? Are they 4 foot square? And I think Meklit wanted to know about the frog creatures.)

"Alright," Felix nods. He summons his Echo on the middle ledge below them.
