Amun-Hakkor He is still over 100 HP... Stalker missed twice out of 3 times, so that didn't help matters. Sun Lance vs Jown: Amun-Hakkor projects a mighty 120 ft. line of radiant energy from his palm. Each creature in that line must make a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw, taking 49 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.

Jown takes 69 (nice) damage from the suns thanks to resistance. Bless CON save (DC33): 32 + 4 (Accidentally rolled 1d8 instead of 1d4 for Bless but it doesn't matter. Concentration lost regardless)
DEX save: 24
This time however, the damage seems to be catching up to him. He still has quite a bit of fight left in him though as he continues to wail on Amun. He slashes wildly at the emperor both with his long sword and also with the spectral weapon.

Jaro will burn another infusion to stay on his feet and blast away again. (4 left, thank you armorer)
Lightning gauntlets with sharpshooter Attack: 29 Damage: 24 lightning Attack: 20 Damage: 25 lightning +4 lightning on the first of those to hit, and the next attack by someone else has advantage and deals an extra 6 lightning Palm Pistol without sharpshooter Attack: 27 Damage: 11

Merlin sees the desperate situation and determines to invest as much as he can in the fight. "Hang on friends, there is still a few arrow in our quiver!"
ACTION: Cast Bigby's Hand with level 9 spell slot using clenched fist, placing at Q105 (next to the fist that was there previously): Attack: 36 Damage: 57 (If Merlin gets the advantage from Jaro's magic then 38 )
ACTION SURGE: Will cast wish and bring all friends back to 100% health (not that it will last long with those arcane suns!): If he rolls a 1 or a 2 he will lose 9th level casting forever: 2, also he is now at a strength of 3 for 7 days
He does not lose 9th level casting forever :-)
(OOC: small FYI, Merlin has 2 9th level spell slots because that was the epic boon he choose, along with raising his intelligence 5 times)

We did it!
I won't roll Stalker's attacks, as those are unneeded now... I think this would have ended up the same even without Merlin, just so you all know. Jaro and Jown both did major hits this round, landing all of their attacks. If Stalker could do 39 damage it would have been finished. Here are his rolls: 12, 25, and 26
So, yes two attacks hit, doing at least 44 damage, so we would have finished it with or without Merlin. I am glad Merlin returned though, since it made the whole thing feel more like a complete team win, than not.
After you all take another crap load of damage from the arcane suns... 140 to be exact. Merlin slams Amun with a magical fist, then summons his powers to heal everyone in the group. Gilra is back up, as is Raist. Everyone is at full hp as well. Spell slots are not restored, but that doesn't really matter. Jaro shoots Amun several times with his lightning blasts, doing even more damage. Appropriately though it is Jown, who lands several blows, then slams the emperor with the spiritual weapon, that takes the emperor down.
As Amun falls to the vault floor the arcane suns each wink out, leaving the place very dark before your darkvision can be restored. The only sounds is your own heavy breathing as you suddenly realize you have won.
"Well, how exactly do we get paid?" Stalker speaks up, voicing his main concern. "The lady who hired us is now only a gold statue back there..." He gestures out the vault door. "Should we just help ourselves to whatever is here, since it is doubtful anyone else has a claim to it..." He eyes the multiple doors, equal in size to the vault door you came in through, along the other three walls of this huge vault.
Jaro eyes the closed doors as well, "We should look into whether or not we can restore her form first, I suppose. And where's that thing of his that she had? Maybe it can do something?"
Merlin looks around, not having been a part of the final setup. "There is this seemingly valuable gold statue sitting just outside the door, that must be worth something!" The irony is lost on him.
Jown sighs as the quiet darkness fills the room. The dim glow from his aura slowly fades as well and the aging paladin mutters, "I am getting too old for this..." He had stuffed the golden gauntlet into his pack shortly after Amun had appeared. He finally takes it out and holds it up along with a torch which he lights to help him see in the dark. He answers, "I took the gauntlet from the statue shortly after the battle began." He looks at the statue that is now Dahlia and says with a grimace, "I am not sure if I want to restore her form. This one seemed to me to lust after more and more power. It is this hunger for power that I believe is partially to blame for her current plight." Raising the gauntlet, he says, "No mortal should wield unmatched and absolute power for absolute power corrupts absolutely. It is for that reason and for how continual her search for more was, that I think we should keep her like that."
((OOC: Out of curiosity, what can the gauntlet actually do? I think it was mentioned at some point but its been so long that I forgot))
Jaro starts nodding along then stops and frowns for a moment, "So, does our contract die with her? Or are we still bound by it? And does her being like that count as a failure to meet the terms?"
"That... I do not know." Jown admits "The contract did say that we are not allowed to take any direct action which would harm Dahlia in any way. However, her turning into gold was not done by us. Additionally, it did not say anything about having to worry about her... revival should something outside of our control happen. Finally, it says that we must do everything in our power to see that the task she has for us is complete. Her task was to defeat Amun and that we have completed."
A golden gauntlet studded with gems darker than night, this relic gives off an overwhelming sense of weight and stability. Closer inspection reveals the gauntlet is actually adamantium plated with gold, with the symbols of various coins and gems cut in detail throughout its form. With this relic, Amun-Hakkor proved unstoppable and its power created unimaginable prosperity and power for his people.
Properties: While unattuned, the Grasp of the Pharaoh possesses the following properties: When you deal damage to an enemy, if that enemy would resist or be immune to the damage, it is instead treated as though it has no resistances or immunities. When you deal damage to a non-Epic enemy, that creature is turned to gold. It becomes petrified until the end of its next turn. You may create up to 10,000 gold pieces each day by touching 500 pounds of some mundane or worthless material (such as stone or wood). If someone steals from you, they are targeted by a flesh to stone spell (Spell Save DC 24) once per day at the end of each long rest they take until the item(s) is returned. Creatures transformed in this fashion are turned to gold instead of stone. You can cast the Epic spell kinetic control once per day. Your spellcasting ability modifier (if you do not have one) is intelligence for casting this spell. You must store half of all your income in a vault, bank, or some secure location within 7 days of acquiring it, which you cannot remove or spend for any reason. If you fail to do this, you are permanently turned to gold, beyond the help of all but the gods.
Attunement: In order to attune to Grasp of the Pharaoh, you must complete herculean feats of greed, amassing over 1 billion gold pieces within your personal storage space. If this amount ever goes below 1 billion, you become unattuned.
When wielded by a creature attuned to the Grasp of the Pharaoh the Relic possesses the following properties instead of those listed when the wielder is unattuned. When you deal damage to an enemy with a melee weapon attack, it must succeed on a DC 26 Constitution saving throw or become petrified--turned to gold. Non-Epic creatures are not afforded a saving throw. A creature can only be affected by this ability once per round. Creatures damaged by you are treated as vulnerable to your damage. You become immune to the petrified condition. You can create up to 1 million gold pieces each day by touching a huge amount of material, such as a building, pond, or similarly large non-magical object. You can cast the Epic spell kinetic control three times per day. Your spellcasting ability is Intelligence (if you do not have one) when casting this spell. You must store all of your income in a vault, bank, or some secure location within 1 day of acquiring it, which you cannot move or spend for any reason. If you fail to do this, you are permanently turned to gold.
"I think we met the requirements of our contract." Stalker says with a shrug of his metallic shoulders. "Just need to find where that lawyer ran off to to get him to pay up I suppose."
Raist starts to breath once more and then eventually opens his eyes as the darkness settle sin, "Is he dead?" He finally asks and then stand sup and retrieves his broom. "Let us go discuss the matter with that lawyer. Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that the lady of gold over there has contingencies in place for something like this, and she is probably already back alive and waiting for us in her office."
Gilra also wakes up fully healed, creates a buffer of spores around himself and is very very displeased with the whole affair. The last time he went down had been centuries ago and he didn't really appreciate fighting gods.
He thanks everyone for the fight and then hangs back seeing if and how they can get out of there.
Leaving the vault doors alone then, you head back up and out of the vault. Having no other course of action you head back to the mansion. There you find Caravas waiting. He is strict and formal as he greets you. Upon hearing of your defeat of the emperor he nods his head.
"You have followed the letter of the contract." He says after some thought. "I will see that the reward stipulated will be available to you at once." A servant is then summoned, who leads you to a chamber filled with magical items. The lawyer accompanies you. "Please take your pick of any magical item you wish with a rarity of up to Legendary." All magic items available from any official source is here for the taking. He then moves to a large chest set on a table. Opening it he shows you a large amount of gold. "And here is the 100,000 gold as per the contract."
