Areus points at Calisto as she walks past the group and says "We have our oath to keep, let's go." He adjusts the grip on his spear and shield and follows Calisto preparing himself for the inevitable fight. As Areus and the others get ready for the fight. Tisto comments as he pulls out his pipes "this may be a question best discussed over several cups of wine but were required to protect the Nag or just not kill her? Just putting it out there!"
"Something tells me that being around when she dies is going to be the same as killing her directly,"Callaphe says, unslinging her bow and preparing to subdue the dog before it can do harm.

As Tisto considers this he recalls that the oath made to Kruphix was that you do not slay her, but work to temper her impulses. How exactly does that work you must work out for yourself to make sure you do not displease the gods.
As no one makes any attempt to stop Calisto she moves down the stairs ahead of you, the 3 minotaurs close behind her. She makes no effort to hide and seems fearless, arrogant in fact, as she moves to confront Kunoros. As she reaches the bottom of stairs he axe is in her hand and she attacks.
As Tisto watches the unfolding combat a cloak of darkness spotted with small star like lights forms around him and he slowly disappears becoming no more than a silhouette.
Cloak of Stars. As an action, you wrap yourself in a starry cloak, appearing like a silhouette formed of the night sky. When you do, attack rolls have disadvantage against you. This cloak lasts for 1 minute, until you doff it (no action required), or until you die. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Areus, shield and spear at the ready, moves to the right flank of Kunoros. As the Akroan enters into a more aggressive combat stance, the tip of his spear slowly starts to glow. The Hoplite then feints an attack on the creature's front leg before changing his target by aiming at the creature's abdomen. Areus thrusts his spear at one of Kunoros's neck hoping to get the creature's attention so to create an opening for his companions.

"Fine. Errr. Guys, maybe we can just knock this guy out? Instead of killing it??" Saya engages the guardian hound. She gallops to the front of the creature. First, she uses her Planar Warrior ability (BA), then she yells to Kunoros. "Here! Bite me!" Then she strikes it with her battleaxe.
Battleaxe Attack: 22 Damage: 7
(My understanding is that I get to use the Planar Warrior damage after the attack. If so, the attack deals extra 6. All her damage is force damage, and non-lethal)
(If the attack hits, Saya will mark Kunoros as a Favored Foe)
Planar Warrior - As a bonus action, choose one creature you can see within 30 ft. of you. The next time you hit that creature on this turn with a weapon attack, all damage dealt by the attack becomes force damage, and the creature takes an extra 1d8 force damage from the attack.
Favored Foe - When you hit a creature with an attack roll, you can mark the target as your favored enemy for 1 minute or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell). The first time on each of your turns that you hit the favored enemy and deal damage to it, including when you mark it, you can increase that damage by 1d4. (Add 1 to the damage)

Dashing forward with Areus, Soren takes the opening he provides and lunges at the beast's exposed stomach. His blade flashes white and leaves a trail of sea foam behind as it stabs upwards.
The other two minotaurs gore Kunoros and Calisto moves in with a wide smile on her face to lay the killing blow with her axe but Kunoros, as weak and battered as he is, is able to dodge the blow.

And manages to bite and claw Calisto who screams in fury that she failed to slay the creature and then is again hurt by it.
"Maybe Saya is right" thinks Areus "We do not have to kill this creature, we just have to pass." Areus then waits to see if Tisto's spell managed to put Kuneros to sleep. If Kuneros still stand, the Arkoan hoplite will attempt to knock it unconscious by using the flat of his blade.
As Tisto sings his song Kuneros looks over at him lazily and then drops to the floor and begins to snore. Calisto, however, is unaffected by the spell.

Soren grimaces "So be it. We could have at least surprised it though" He draws his sword and pulls his shield off his back, ready for the conflict.
