PROLOGUE ADVENTURE, CHAPTER FIVE: RETURN TO FIRESHEAR
The Icebreaker, wounded after she was attacked in the icy seas of the Sword Coast North, has just arrived in Fireshear harbor. As you pull into the shipyard, you see a familiar face: Kalannai Grayfur, the human community leader who helped the people of Fireshear withstand the chaos of the mephit attacks a tenday ago. She raises a hand to you in greeting as you walk down the gangplank.
“Hail, friends of Fireshear,” Kalannai says. “The people of this town are pleased to see your return. Or I am, at any rate.”
You all are welcome to stay in Fireshear as long as you wish, and Kalannai will pay for your rooms at the Dancing Bear Lodge, a comfortable local inn, for up to a tenday. Kalannai also mentions that she has a job for you all that she'd like to hire you for.
"Could you all deliver a freshly smelted adamantine bar to the nearby town of Hundlestone? The town is renowned for its master blacksmiths. This bar is twice as easy to work with as typically forged adamantine, and i'm very interested in securing a trade deal in Hundelstone. The recipient in mind is an old dwarf named Fallstaff Shorthelm, who has a reputation as a master adamantine craftsdwarf, and an old friend. I'll pay you 5 gp postage up front, and promise a further 20 gp when you return to Fireshear from Icewind Dale. In the meantime, while repairs are underway, feel free to relax at the Dancing Bear!"
"Whoa, don't hurt yourself, big guy." Kalannai says, noticing you struggling to form a sentence. "That's a trade secret. Come. I believe someone at the Dancing Bear was looking for employment. Perhaps you all are hiring?"
As you arrive at the Dancing Bear you're somewhat startled to see the front door slam open, ably assisted by the head of a human as he's launched into the street outside by a compact, fierce-looking man dressed in leather and fur, with a beard and shoulder-length brown hair braided with tribal beads and feathers. 'If I see you again, cut-purse scum, I'll break every one of your damn fingers!' he growls, piercing eyes boring into the unfortunate thief lying in the street, his lips pulled back in a snarl. He stands, almost ready to pounce if the would-be-thief were to challenge him.
Satisfied the thief is thoroughly cowed, he becomes aware of your presence as he starts to calm down, nodding abruptly in your direction. 'He's lucky he didn't manage to steal anything.' he spits off to the side 'Faaaugh! Towns!' he growls before heading back inside the inn to a half-eaten meal and mug of mead.
Percival looks at the large man, then back to Kalannai, then back to the man that he follows inside. "My name is Percival Blount and I'm an employee of Luskan Deliveries." He says to the man. "I was told that someone at the Dancing Bear was looking for employment. Might you be that someone?"

The man pauses from tearing into his half-eaten whole chicken, looking you over, his piercing grey eyes weighing you up. ‘Yes, depending on the work - I don’t do any old thing. Name’s Sobek Wolfclaw. Tell me about it while I finish eating.’
He’s clearly paying attention while he eats, his awareness is wide open to the whole room, as though constantly alert to possible threats.
"Luskan Deliveries is responsible for delivering packages all throughout Icewind Dale, which is more dangerous than it sounds. Since we've been doing this, we've been attacked by a goblins, a wererat assassin, and an undead shark that spat out undead minions."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sobek chuckles ‘Sounds eventful, and interesting. I travelled up from the South on foot, so I know my way around Icewind Dales reasonably well.’ he stops then, tone firming up ‘I don’t do boats though.’
His eyes then narrow ‘I don’t really understand the human need for constant bartering, telling untruths. Make me an offer, and I’ll judge you by it.’
Aloud, Vetis speaks quietly, the tiefling frowning faintly. "You will have to deal with a ship, at least at first. We can't get to our deliveries quickly otherwise," she says bluntly.
Sobek smiles over to Vetis, showing a few too many teeth, ‘We’ll see about the ship, if it proves necessary...’
He then nods to Persival ‘That’s enough, I don’t need too much to get by.’ He spits into a calloused, slightly greasy, hand and reaches over to shake and finalise the deal. ‘I think this is how they do it...’you might hear him mutter to himself.
‘My gear is in my room, but I’ve done what I needed here.’ he pats the hilt of a new dagger ‘When do we start...?’
When Sobek offers a spit-covered hand for Percival to shake, he points over to Kazimir. "Actually, that's our Captain over there, so it would really be more appropriate to shake their hand, not mine. I was just told to speak to you about the terms of employment. But technically, we start now, as we've been assigned to deliver a bar of adamantine to a smith in Hundelstone.

Lucas is more than happy to have his feet on dry land, as he greets Kalanni again. When they're directed to Sobek, he stays quiet, letting Percy deal with him since, as past events have shown, Lucas wasn't much of a people person. Still, he was happy to hear that they were getting a new crewmate, offering the man a large grinn.
All this time, Shrek has been standing behind the group (towering over everyone, by far....), one finger up his nose digging for gold and the other finger doing the same amount of digging in his cavernous bellybutton. When Sobek offers his hand to the group, Shrek gladly takes it and shakes it vigorously, not even realizing that he's likely transferring gobs of green and brown goo, sealing the partnership. Fellow barbarians!
Laughing, Shrek announces "More friends to help Shrek carry big packages!" before trudging off to the barkeep and ordering four large steaming plates of whatever the daily special is today, along with four large steins of their cheapest ale. All for himself.

Shrek scratches his head in confusion, and responds back to Kalannai "Why bar twice easy to work with?"
