Rogram carves through the final fungus, separating it into two pieces, each becoming future compost for the other plants in the damp cavern.
Area Description:
The cavern is carpeted with a profusion of fungi ranging from a few inches high to nearly as tall as a human adult. Two paths lead through the fungi further into the cavern: one on the right, where the violet fungi corpses now lay, and one on the left.
OOC: Each character has received 50 XP for defeating the violet fungi. Removed spent ammunition from character's inventories, some of which can be reclaimed with 1 minute of searching.
Yevele will stay still after the last fungus is killed, listening quietly to the noises in the cavern, and seeing if there is anything else moving around down here. perception11. After a minute or so, the monk will move back to the ramp and listen to see if the tied up bandit is starting to make any noise above.
Thia wipes a trickle of sweat from her brow and tucks a stray strand of blonde hair behind an upswept ear. She quickly tries to recover as many fired bolts as she can and then carefully loads her crossbow again. This is crazy.
OOC: The tied up man is still quiet. Since you knocked him unconscious, you won't have to worry about him waking up for 1d4 hours.
Added 1 recovered bolt to Thia's inventory.

Smoke Perception:12
The paths continue through the fungi for another fifty feet or so before leading to a drier part of the cavern. After a brief and cautious walk through a short tunnel, you step into a much larger part of the cavern.
Some small fungi still dots the area, but the cavern floor is chiefly empty here, aside from a small collection of dead bats. At the end of the cavern is a large four-way intersection. Standing among the bats, moving through the room as you enter, are four kobolds. Upon seeing you and your torchlight, one points and emits a shriek as the rest draw their weapons.
"More of these blasted things," Rogram grumbles. He holds his shield up as he moves forward and attempts to slice through one of the kobolds with his longsword.
With the shrieks of the kobolds Smoke sighs, Not a moments rest.
He will stand near Rogram and wait for a kobold to come near then quickly rush out with a slash of his rapier. Not wanting to get caught alone in the dark without knowing what else is out here.
Action: Ready attack for a kobold coming close to them. Rapier Attack: 16 Damage: 13 Movement: 10feet at most to get in range of a kobold

Rogram sprints with Yevele and Smoke to close the distance between their foes. On the edges, Rogram cleaves into a kobold's collar while Smoke pierces through another's heart. The middle pair quickly draw daggers, but their small blades go flying as Yevele's sword separates the arm and head of the left kobold. Spinning, her heel catches the temple of the final kobold and drops it lifeless to the ground.
A shrill sound draws your attention upward, where nearly a dozen small creatures, roused by the activity, are suddenly descending upon you. Slightly larger than bats, these pink flying creatures have a needle-like proboscis that resembles a mosquito. They lead with legs ending in sharp pincers as their fleshy wings carry them quickly toward you. Thia fires off a quick shot, her crossbow already loaded and ready, but misses the small target.

Half of the stirges quickly swarm to your position, hovering around you, trying to find an opening. One succeeds on Smoke and Thia each, claws gripping tightly to the leather on their chests as their noses slam into open skin. The stirges remain attached, clinging to them in an attempt to siphon blood.
Five other stirges draw nearer to the party from their perches along the ceiling further into the cavern.
Round 1 Order: Stirges Players <=====
Placement: Rogram is engaged in melee combat with one stirge. Smoke is engaged in melee combat with two stirges. One is attached. Thia is engaged in melee combat with one stirge, attached to her. Yevele is engaged in melee combat with one stirge. Five other stirges are 10-15 feet above the ground but within movement range.
Health: Smoke is wounded. Thia is lightly wounded. Yevele is lightly wounded.
Ammunition: Thia has used 1 bolt.
OOC: Each character has received 25 XP for defeating the kobolds.
Rogram's momentary pride in seeing the kobolds so quickly vanquished turns into borderline horror at the sight of the stirges. And when one latches onto Smoke right beside him, the swordsman spits a Dwarven curse. "Hold on!" he yells, swinging his sword at the stirge that just bounced off his shield.
Smoke starts moving around stepping left and rightGet it off!
Feeling the pain of the sting he drops his rapier and takes out his daggers and he tries to stab it with one dagger and with the second he places it against the stirge carefully and swings his blade outward to slice off as much as he can.
Movement: 10 ft in circles Action: Main Dagger Attack: 21 Damage: 9 Bonus action: Offhand dagger Attack: 24 Damage: 2
OOC: Botting Thia for this round, using her action to remove the stirge from her neck.
Without the Dual Wielder feat, Smoke would be unable to make an attack with two daggers in the same turn as he draws them (drawing the first dagger with a free interaction, then drawing the second dagger in the same turn would take his action). I'll assume that he's drawing one to attack with this turn, then next turn he can draw the second to attack with both.

Smoke also stabs into one, which sticks dead to his dagger. His off-hand dagger slices through the wing of the other stirge flying near him.
