If there are no traps, and the chest are locked, Yevele will pull out her thieves tools. But, thinking about the last time she used her tools, the monk will turn and wave everyone else out of the room before trying to open the chests.
Despite Yevele's precautions, the trunks at the foot of the bed do not appear to be trapped, nor does acid erupt from the walls when she opens them. In the first trunk, she finds a set of fine clothing. The second trunk holds what appears to be a spare set of Frulam Mondath's purple Cult of the Dragon regalia, along with an iron key.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Yevele will add the purple clothing to her backpack, thinking it might come in handy in the future. Heading out to her companions, she will hold up the iron key and ask "Any idea as to what this key might be for? Could it be for the gates on one of the hatcheries, or is there something we've missed?"
She will then head back into Mondath's room and search for a secret door/compartment that the key might be used for: 5
Smoke nods at the mention of the corridor, with nothing more to be found here he will position himself at the edge of the corridor and take a peek around the corner to see if he can spot anything ahead while the others look around the room for something the key might open.
OOC: Holy moly, what a week it's been. Sorry folks.
Added Mondath's spare clothing to Yevele's inventory. Yevele does not see anything additional within Mondath's room.
Moving into the western corridor, Smoke pauses to peek around the corner. He sees little with a glance into the chamber that follows, though he hears the sound of light chatter coming through into the corridor from further ahead.
Smoke will take a few steps back towards the rest of the group and signal them to come closer before whispering I think there is someone ahead, i can hear voices
He will then draw two daggers gazing at the corridor unsure if the voices heard the party
"Aye, but quietly, I could do with a rest, not more fighting," Karib replies, and begins to utter a prayer under his breath before touching whoever is moving forward, offering them the guidance of Gond.
OOC: Regarding a short rest, as the great Matt Mercer would say, "you can certainly try".
Regarding stealth, there's not much more that sneaking would reveal as far as the corridor/next room are concerned - when Smoke made a Stealth check earlier he went as far as he could go without waltzing into the open in the chamber ahead. I stopped his sneak-progress there since he heard voices coming from the next chamber.
Rogram stands by the prisoner.
Yevele will check both chest for traps: investigation 17 plus 2 for Gond's Aid.
Chest #2: investigation 17 plus 1 for Gond's Aid.

(( Karib was helping, so Yevele's rolls should be with Advantage ))

Karib again helps Yevele, then points west, "Perhaps that way? It may even lead out, so be cautious."
(( Looks like a corridor west? ))

Rogram thinks back and gives a one-shoulder shrug. "Maybe the chest you broke into?"

OOC: For the time being, the corridor remains empty.

"Careful," Karib whispers. "It probably leads to the entrance, if I have the right sense of the layout."
OOC: Ready to advance once the next action is taken. For now, nothing is disrupting you.

(( Is a short rest a possibility? ))
Yevele will pocket the key and join the rest of the group, where she will whisper "Should one of us sneak up there and see who is speaking?"
