Smoke shrugs at seeing the lock, after all he doesnt have any tools for the job. And is certainly no thief.
He will look up as Thrax is calling for someone inside. If possible Smoke will climb up the wall to see if there is a way in from above. A place where most others could not get to, so might not be barred off.
Smoke lets his claws come out a little more and starts his climb. Ill see if there is another way in.He says as he makes his way to the top.
If he can make it to the top he will try and see if there are any ways in from here so he can get down into the building.
Does Rogram know of a way to get into the temple? Does he know of a way to identify himself as safe to those inside so that they might feel comfortable opening the door to him?
Would you allow me to cast mage hand on the other side of the door to turn the key that is hopefully still in the lock? Also, what restrictions do you place on unseen servant? Can it move through walls/doors?
OOC: Mage hand only specifies a point within range, so you do not have to see the area you are casting it in. You could cast it on the other side of the door, as long as there is unoccupied space on the other side.
Unseen servant specifies that it is invisible, but not ethereal and requires an unoccupied space to exist, so I would say that it is not capable of moving through solid objects.
Rogram knows there's a front door to the sanctuary, but nothing more than that basic entrance. Not knowing who is inside, if anyone, what Rogram might say to identify himself as safe is up to you.
Thrax examines the door. It is made of wood, and therefore possible to break down, but he also discovers that it is unlocked. No answer comes to his call.
Smoke climbs toward the roof, his claws digging into the stone work. Once there, he does not see any entrance from above. The building is not very elaborate, and seems to match the simple architecture of the smaller houses throughout the town.
"The door's unlocked?" Thia queries after Rogram checks it over. "Good work. Open it and lets see how many people are inside. We only have moments unless we want to deal with the other raiders parading around - as soon as they reach back here, they'll know something is up from all the dead bodies. We need to move swiftly."
Thraxleans into the door and quietly opens it, looking around to ensure that there is nobody waiting for them inside. If its clear he will hastily waved the others in. "Hurry, maybe we can make our way to the other side of the building to scope out whats happening across the street."

Thrax swings the door open, and the sound of chatter echoes through the opening from further within. The temple interior is dimly lit by only a few candles lain about, and dozens of people fill the benches. Some are trying to calm children, but the rest are staring intently at the front of the building, and focused as they are, have not noticed the lizardfolk at the door. They seem to be in a near panic.
When Smoke looks around on the roof not finding any way to enter he moves back to the edge of the roof seeing Thrax open the door. Smoke will decide to stay up on the roof for the moment, unless he hears fighting from inside of the temple.
While leaning over the edge he says There is no way in from here, go in ill keep watch here. The patrol will be here soon.
Smoke will try to stay up the roof unseen and watch for the patrol to see if they are alerted and come to investigate.
Yevele will keep her post at the corner of the building where she expects the parade to return to the back of the temple. Crouching down, the monk will peer around the corner of the temple with one eye (so that only 1/2 her head is exposed). Looking back occasionally at the door, she notices Thrax going inside. 'Hopefully, Rogram will follow him in there. Having a local talk to them might be more beneficial than a stranger, particularly a lizardman in this situation' Yevele thinks to herself. 'We need to get back to the temple quickly, before any of the raiders realize we are here.'
Thia will also continue to watch her side of the building - the opposite one to Yevele. "Any sign of the parade yet?" she asks Yevele quickly, before peeking back around her corner.
Smoke, Yevele, and Thia post up on the roof and sides of the building.
For Smoke:
The noise of the mob is coming from the front of the church. As you reach that side, you can see another force of raiders is here as well. Accompanied by two humans, the six kobolds in this group seem very distracted by the mob as they join the hollering by cheering them on. Another human, wearing a 5 pointed black mask over her eyes, struggles to direct the kobolds' attention back to some sort of large mechanism that they are in the process of moving to the front doors of the church.
For Thia:
You do not see any sign of raiders around your corner of the church.
For Yevele:
You do not see any sign of raiders around your corner of the church.
Thrax gestures to the people with a single finger over his lips. "We're not with them, we are here to sssave you." he hisses quietly. "We have been tasked by Governor Nighthill to get you out of here. We mussst be quiet, my friendsss are outside we do not want to draw the attention of those barbariansss. Does anyone know if there are there more of you in the building across the ssstreet?" He gestures to the direction where they saw the villainous parade go by.
Hurry up, damn it. Those raiders will be coming back around the corner at any minute. Thia stays still and quiet, crouching low in the evening shadows of the corner of the temple, her back clothes blending seamlessly with the darkness.

OOC: Assuming that Rogram is providing some attempt at reassurance while his player is gone...
Thrax Persuasion:2 Rogram Persuasion: 4
Panicked faces shrink away from Thrax, but the lizardfolk's words, and the appearance of a face that some find familiar steels one older human man enough to answer, "I know not, we've been cornered here since the attack."
A half-elf man approaches, seeming a little calmer than the rest within the sanctuary. "Forgive me for my suspicion, but how did you get here? They had the building surroun--"
A booming blow suddenly interrupts from the front doors. Dust falls from the ceiling from the impact, eliciting frightened screams from many of the frightened townsfolk.
Seeing another force in front of the building Smoke moves back to the rear leaning over the side again to speak to Yevele and Thia. Another group in front! Three humans and a bunch of kobolds with a weird device... at this moment the boom will sound that the people inside hear .. Its a ram! They need to get out now before they are overrun!
Smoke look up and watch the if he can see the patrolling group and how much time they might have to get the people out of the building without running them into the patrol.
Looking back down Make more smoke with the torches, it might cover an escape.
“We need to get those people out. Now.” Thia will enter the building and approach the group inside. “Time to leave. Follow us out the back door. We’ll escort you to the keep. Can any of you fight?” She’ll look around the townsfolk to see if any are armed.
Thia will try and persuade the group to get moving swiftly.
Yevele will remain at her post, keeping an eye out for the parade of goblins. While standing there, she does pull out her tinder box so that she will be ready to try and relight the thatch on their way back to the river.
Thraxhurries to help the trapped villagers out of the back door and points them towards the river and the walls of the castle, asking them not to panic and flee but to follow the lead of his companions back towards the river so they can escape. "No time to explain! Please trust usss, follow my friendsss and we'll get you out of here!"

Assuming the group of villagers are following, Thia will lead them swiftly outside. Projecting an air of authority she does not necessarily feel, she'll take point, drawing her rapier as she goes. Looking around she'll quickly check the coast is clear, and if she gets the nod from Yevele she will lead the villagers into the stream bed.
Despite not receiving an answer, a second boom from the doors is enough to overcome the half-elf's suspicion, and he sets to wrangling the other villagers within toward the open back door. A third boom leaves cracks within the front door large enough to see through. By the fourth, however, the last of the nearly two dozen villagers have quietly and fearfully fled out of the back door.
As they follow Thia toward the stream, Yevele adds what she can to the accidental smokescreen. Whether the circling mob is there or not, the smoke shields them from the party as much as the opposite.
Yevele will bring up the rear as their procession makes it way back toward the keep. She will keep and eye and ear out for anyone coming in behind them as they move up the stream. 'I hope we've gotten them out of their in time, and, get back to the keep without further encounters' the young woman thinks to herself as she follows behind the party, doing her best to urge any stragglers to pick up the pace.
