"That was what he said, yes, the Cult of the Dragon. I have heard of them before, but nothing in regards to anything resembling an army," Nighthill answers. "You are welcome to speak with the creature yourself, but it was very talkative. I don't know if you will be able to glean much more than Escobert has, but he can escort you to the room we are keeping it in."
OOC: If anyone has anything they would like to do while Smoke is speaking with the kobold or Rogram is returning to the tunnel, please let me know, otherwise I will advance in my next post.
Thrax has heard the name. They are a reclusive group, one that has an obsession with things of a draconic nature. He does not know much more about them than that surface knowledge.
Escobert leads Smoke up the stairs of the tower, pointing out the room that holds the prisoner. "Have at 'im," he says, "Just don't break 'im too hard."
Rogram heads for the cellar, toward the tunnel and its entrance along the stream.
OOC: The gate was locked when you returned, but should Rogram be able to unlock it, there certainly looks to be enough foliage along the stream to attempt something like that. Keep in mind that the tunnel already is fairly well camouflaged along the banks. There was a group of raiders that walked by you as you were exiting that did not seem to see you.
Just to be safe, Rogram conjures his mage hand and attempts to enhance the camouflage surrounding the gate's exterior while remaining inside the tunnel. Following that, he refills the tunnel with the barrels, etc. they removed to make it difficult to enter if they do find the gate and break the lock.
Thrax follows smoke and gives a mean axing glare to the prisoner. He nods as smoke closes the door and stands watch to ensure they are not interrupted.

The kobold prisoner is being kept in a small office that has been repurposed. The small creature is manacled and chained to a desk within, and when Smoke enters, it stops trying to pull the chain free and looks up pitifully at the tabaxi. Thrax enters shortly behind.
In the tunnel, Rogram does what he can to tighten the web of overgrown flora just outside the exit grate with his mage hand, and begins to shift the stored barrels and crates into the tunnel itself.
OOC: Having conversation with Smoke about his conversation with the kobold prisoner in PM. Please let me know if there is anything else that characters wish to do. After the conversation is complete, we will advance.
After spending an hour or so resting, Yevele will get up and begin moving around the keep. She will be primarily looking for Lao Te, but, will also listen closely to conversations she hears that may provide some insight into the nature of their foe. 'I hope Lao Te is okay. I wonder if he was investigating the Cult of the Dragon. Could he have been captured or killed by them for being too curious?' the monk thought to herself.
If anyone asks her a question, she will say she is looking for Lao Te, a monk who had been visiting the town. But, she will also take a few moments to ask how the questioner is doing and what they saw before coming to the keep.
Thrax stoically stands guard as Smoke proceeds with his interrogation. He keeps an ear out for any signs of distress coming from the room and ensures they have both protection and privacy.
If he hears nothing after 10 minutes he will check in to see if Smoke needs anything.

Thia rests and Thrax maintains a watch, listening to the mumbled sounds of conversation from within the room he guards. Yevele struggles to find any recognition of the name Lao Te, but speaks for a few moments with a traveling couple that was staying in Greenest's small inn. The woman she speaks with claims that she saw a group of men in monks' robes at the inn, but that she hasn't seen them in the Keep and doesn't know their whereabouts.
OOC: The time spent resting in the Keep is long enough to constitute a short rest. If anybody would like to roll hit dice, please do so in your next post.
Smoke will exit the room with the kobold and closes the door behind him.
He sighs. Lets get the group together with the governor, he says to Thrax standing outside the room.
When they reach the governor again he will inform everyone what he has learned.
I did not get much out of him. Raki, the kobold, told me the blue dragon that attacked the town earlier was called Lennithon. Not a name i have heard before but he is supposed to live in a big scary mountain, if that is any help.
He paces back and forth as he speaks and his tail moves randomly with each step.
What worries me is that he said the leader was the dragon lady. And that it is a real black dragon in humanoid form.
He looks up. They follow her, no seperate tribes of kobolds, just a big army of kobolds and cult of the dragon followers. About 200 strong according to Raki.
He starts waving his hands in front of him as gestures. You must understand its uncommon at the least that two chromatic dragons would work together. They cant be here for just gold, there must be something more but the kobold just does not know.
After making the round of the keep, and finding out about the party of monks at the inn, Yevele decided to follow Thia and try to get some sleep in an out of the way spot. Hopefully, Lao Te and his fellow monks were somewhere safe. But, at the present time, there was little Yevele could do to find them and help them. Hopefully, in the morning, better options would be available to her.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Waking up to listen to what Smoke tells the party as he gathers us together, Thia senses a need to bring this ragtag group closer together. She just seems to know that this is bigger than all of them and that this is not the end of their adventures, but just the beginning. With that in mind, she subtly circles the group as they listen to the Tabaxi tell his tale, and as she does she hums a small lullaby that her mother used to sing to her when she was tiny. The words were elven but the tune is peaceful and always helped settle Thia when she was anxious as a youngling. There is fey-magic imbued in this tune; healing magic and Thia focuses her mind back to her magical childhood in the Misty Forest and channels the fey energies from that place to revive her companions.
Action: Song of Rest: Everyone spending HD this Short Rest can add a bonus 2 to the HP they regain.
While it wouldn't hurt for Rogram to cash in a hit die for a few more hp, he's not resting.
After Rogram finishes "hiding" the gate and filling the passage below (to the best of his ability and knowledge), he returns to the courtyard and walks around the crowd, looking for anyone he recognizes from his own neighborhood, the neighborhood around where his uncle and aunt live, or anyone he knows works with his uncle at the mill. He is still searching for information on his family's whereabouts and welfare.
When he notices Smoke and Thrax returned, he will join the group to hear what Smoke learned. At the mention of two dragons working together, the half-dwarf furrows his brow. And when Smoke speaks of how strange that is, Rogram nods. But at the mention of an army of 200, Rogram lets out a "Moradin's beard!"
Has Rogram ever heard of Lennithon before and perhaps know where the dragon lives?
"Did the creature say whether Greenest is their target or an unfortunate diversion?" Rogram asks the tabaxi. "Perhaps they are just moving by and will leave soon."
OOC: Rogram's activities are a little too strenuous for a rest, but the rest of the characters have gained the benefits of a short rest. Rogram has not heard the name Lennithon.
The activity in the Keep has settled to a tense stillness, and the atmosphere is quieter at this late hour when Tarbaw Nighthill speaks with the party again. Listening carefully to Smoke's summary, the weary governor manages a terse smile. "I thought we had gotten all that we could out of the creature...well done. Two dragons...and here I was hoping the first wouldn't return. Do any of you know of this Lennith--"
The entire Keep is suddenly rocked by some vicious impact. A few stones fall into the courtyard, preceding a flurry of dirt and dust, but the structure remains intact as those within unleash surprised shouts and screams. A brief moment later, a call rings down from the tower, echoing from guard to guard: "Dragon!"
The governor quickly replaces his look of shock to one of duty. "Escobert! Guards! Every last man with a bow to the parapet!" he calls out. The guards within the courtyard do not hesitate, sprinting toward the circular stairway.
