(DM Question - you said the dwarven letters don't make any words, but what letters surround the door? Genken is curious as to why random letters would surround the door and so wanted to jot them down and mull over them.)
I maybe could have been clearer about this, but the letters aren't singular letters in a ring around the door. They're arranged like words and phrases scattered across the wall, but they don't mean anything to you. Here are a few examples:
The door is heavy, but not locked. You find yourself in a circular room with two wooden doors leading to the northwest and southwest. The door you have entered from is due east. Sprawled upon the cracked stone floor are the bodies of four goblins who have apparently died in combat. One corpse stands against the western wall, the spear that killed it still skewering it and holding it upright.
The spear pinning the one goblin to the wall still appears to be in good condition. One of them is armed with a scimitar, and another carries a shield. Between the four, you find 23 silver pieces and 4 gold pieces.
Lar-Dun, you yank the spear out of the wall, and the goblin's body slumps forward. The tip is coated with dried blood.
Arisys, you don't notice any inscriptions like the ones outside. However, you do see a single word in Draconic runes that was previously covered by the standing corpse - "Ashardalon."
Summer takes her own notes of the Dwarven words. She thinks about whether or not if there was anything she remembered from the stories her parents' companions told in regards to Dwarven puzzles?
(Could I roll a history check for this?)

Ondrej and Arisys, neither of you have any trouble getting across.

Genken makes a note of the dwarvish letters. While it doesn't make any words, he's interested in trying to crack whatever puzzle it holds.
For the sake of moving things along, I'll make Lar-Dun's roll for them. 21
Summer and Lar-Dun also make it across fine. You all now stand outside the door on the lone section of intact floor.

Lilyn - Triton Ranger | Candor - Changeling Bard | Echo - Changeling Warlock/Bard | Rowan - Fairy Wizard

"So... should we knock?"

I maybe could have been clearer about this, but the letters aren't singular letters in a ring around the door. They're arranged like words and phrases scattered across the wall, but they don't mean anything to you. Here are a few examples:
Drakaar
Druun khruur okaar
Huun alkhuul
Daararaar dech draal

Arisys will try the door. (Does it swing open?)
She will use her quarterstaff to help wedge it open.

(OOC - ah, right. No worries. Genken still jots down the words. Do the goblins looks long dead or recently killed?)
They're long dead, and it looks like some sort of animal has been gnawing at them.

(Sorry all about not responding for so long. Had some sudden things to attend to and I wasn't able to say I wouldn't be able to post for a while)
Lar-Dun, stirring from whatever daydream he was in, decides to investigate the goblins.
Searching them, does he find anything of interest?

If the shield is in decent condition, Ondrej will take it, he doesn't need any of the coin.
He slings the shield onto his pack and nudges one of the goblin bodies with his foot. "What are these foul creatures?"
Arisys will look at the walls, are there any markings similar to the ones Genken had found?
Investigation: 6
(We can split the coin between us. Lar-Dun isn't greedy. He will take the spear also)
