Talon finishes off the injured rat, as the remaining ones swarm forward, paws scrabbling and teeth nipping.

Two go for Son, only one of them managing to get past his defenses.

 Blue draws the ire of three, as do Mark and Ember. As usual, Talon is able to avoid all danger...

Blue gets bitten by two of the rats on him, their sharp little teeth gnawing, and Mark and Ember also likewise aren't able to fend off two of the rats and get bit.

Son shoots the one that bit him with frostbite.

Ember draws her rapier, and in the same motion will swipe it across one of the rats that attacked her.

Mark hacks into one of the rats in front of him, while Talon finishes one from the air.

The rats attack, working in pairs they are able to get bites in on everyone except Blue since he was only facing off against one (and Talon, of course doesn't get bit.).

Son spews fire on the rats attacking him (unless it hits his comrades).

 Son unleashes a gout of flame that crisps one of his rats, and also finishes the one that was facing Blue... however, it seems to have sparked some of the swamp gas, as gouts of flame shoot up, one next to Blue and another next to one of the rats!

Seeing the rats coming in to attack, Mark braces himself against the first one, batting it away some but leaving himself open to the second's attack.
