This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I grin, starting to feel like I'm regaining a semblance of myself. The weight of the weapon and shield feel good in my hand, and the soreness in my muscles begins to fade as my body flows with the martial movements. I turn to Talon smile as I see his choice of weapons.
I turn to scan the area when I hear a low rumbling. Looking around, I realize I'm not sure of the last time I've eaten.
"Talon, did you happen to see any sources of food or water on your earlier flight? I'll try digging through the wreckage again to see if I can find any rations, or something to make do with."

Ember looks back at Big'un "Well, if it was something breakable, I think you would have broken it when you shook the barrel. I think it's a safe enough to hit it."
Mark with an axe in hand, pokes through the wreckage, and does manage to find a crate that is partially broken open, containing a quantity of jerky that is starting to partially rehydrate. Should be just fine to eat, but would need to be finished before it spoils or dried out again to keep it longer term.
((I edited it back in to give Big Un more for his nat 20, but you're pretty sure it's ship's biscuits, so bashing it open shouldn't harm them.))

I take a case of bolts, then add an assortment of weapons to Mark's sledge, including heavy crossbow and two more bolt cases.
"I didn't see anything in the forest, too dense, quaw! How many things do you thing we should carry, Mark? I think the sledge will force us to stick to going along the coast. Should we get going and find out who made the fire on the other side and try to trade?"
Blue knows that crabs of this size are significantly more dangerous than the smaller variety, vicious enough to easily kill the average commoner. They are mostly scavengers, by nature, though may hunt. They are a bit less dangerous on land than in water, where they can grab and hold prey until they drown. They are still able to move as fast as a man, however, so can't just be run away from easily. Perhaps of significant importance for a quartet of shipwreck victims, they are good eating.

Does Big'Un see Blue run off after a giant crab? if so he will run after him and when he gets within range he will send a fire bolt ant the crab attack: 11 damage:

The crabs take notice of Blue heading toward him and leave their picking at the corpses to scurry in his direction! Only one reaches him this turn, but they try to put the pinch on him!
Blue is grabbed and held by the crab in a painful pinch!
Big 'Un jumps in and looses a fire bolt into the crab, but it still holds tight to Blue as he ineffectively smacks it with his board.
Ember's first instinct is to get no where near the crab, but she's left with only a dagger and no known magical recourse. If only she had some sort of ranged weapon that she could use without getting in pincer range.
((Giving the other two a chance to hop in the order, you guys are a lot faster than my other forum, so I perhaps should have waited for everyone before starting things... There I just add people to the order as they roll, and if they don't roll, then their character is 'dodging'. We can retcon actions in if any of you roll high enough.))
I eat some of the jerky, and hold out a few pieces for Talon. "It's not great, but they're not rations either."
I look to the sledge, to Talon, to the treeline, then back to Talon. "I'm not sure. If we had companions, which our findings seem to indicate, I'm sure they'd like their equipment back as well. We could possibly bring it to the treeline and leave it there for now. That way, if we find others and they're friendly it's a quicker retrieval. Ift not friendly, we're not bringing weapons directly to them."

I stare at Mark with one eye as I swallow a piece of jerky whole, then tilt my head to look at him with the other. "I agree.", and I start preening my wings, the thought of helping pull the sledge avoiding me.
When the sledge is at the edge of the forest, I will look for branches and wide leaves to hide it and leave a mark on the tree above it that I can see from the air, so that I can find the sledge when we return. Survival d20: 18
Seeing the action in front of her, Ember knows that she is out of her league with the giant crab. Maybe she can craft something that will allow her to attack creatures while remaining away from the main fight. For now, Ember will hide amongst the barrels until the fight is over.
As soon as Mark is ready, I soar into the sky to get the direction of the fire, and come back down to point it. Along the way, I will use breaks in the canopy to fly back up and make sire we're still on track.
Big'Un looks at Ember and say's: "Did you hear that something is rattling around inside it. Do you think I should give the lid a whack?"

"Come on. These crabs are good eating."
He’ll rush up to the nearest one and smack it with his board.
