Coming back around to join the others and clear the tunnel so Kurma can look at the cuneiform, he shouts over his shoulder, "You know, I had a first mate once that had a pet monkey.  Cute little bugger but would damn near bite your finger off if you came between him and a some rum cake."

Felix will pull his decanter "Well I won't go against the logic, sounds reasonable. Just be ready if it's the wrong choice..." placeing the decanter over the right hand Felix speaks the command word "Stream.."

As Felix "pour" water on the right hand, 3 vapour creatures come out of the hand and attack.

But they are easily dispatched by the party.

Brunella frowns. "Perhaps I was wrong?" She goes to the zebra mask and looks out.

There is another cuneiform writing on the zebra mask. Brunella sees a ray of blue light falling onto the right foot of the statue.

As Kurma checks those inscriptions, he translates the following sentences:

Lion Mask: “I ate one of the boar’s friends.”

Zebra Mask: "My only friend starved to death.” 

OOC: Can I go check the other 2 masks ? Are there inscription as well ?

"Its got to be the vulture right? If the lion ate the boars friend and the vultures is lucky to be alive. The vulture knows the zebra's friend starved to death. Meaning the vulture is the monkey friend.... ugh I have riddles!" 

Brunella agrees. "Yes, it may be the vulture"

"Tell me where to pour Burnella."

Brunella goes to the vulture mask and looks out...

Through the vulture mask, Brunellas sees a ray of blue light falling onto the left hand of the statue.

"Felix, pour on the left hand of the statue!" exclaims Brunella.

Felix will speak the command word on the left hand of the monkey.

Felix pours water where Brunella told him, and...

Nothing happens. No weird steam creatures, but no puzzle cube either.

"Well that sucks the Wizards might have already taken the piece..."

 Speaking of the devil, Zagmira comes into the shrine at this very dramatic moment: "Well, well, well. No puzzle cube, eh? That is most unfortunate. What will the brave party of adventurers do, I wonder?"

"Don't worry Zagmira, we'll meet in the flesh soon enough. And maybe then we will get the puzzle cube."

Then acting as if the wizard was not here, Kurma call his friends. " Well, should we have a rest or push to the next shrine ?"

Oniss watches impressed as his party members resolve this puzzle but is disappointed at the missing cube.  Oniss knows they are closer to another confrontation with the magic users.
