At the mention of giving up the camp, the commander heats up visibly:" NO! I will never turn down our mission!" He says with a punch on the desk.
"This jungle is full of undead monster, and I will not leave until this region is secured. And honestly, I do not care about artefacts. Rumors and legends do not save people from these undead monsters. Further south you end up in the Aldani Basin, a mashy and nasty place. To be clear, I will not let you go south until this place is safe, do you understand?"
Gertrude holds her hands up in the air in a defensive gesture: "No offence, commander, I can see that you're doing your best. We are more than happy to help you stabilise the area and stay on for a day or two. Do you know where the undead are? I am just saying that we are not returning to Port Nyanzaru at this point in time. Of course I will have to discuss with my group what they would like to do, I cannot decide for them. This is our offer."

Felix places his hand on his rapier when he sees the commander jumpy and thinks "This guy off his rocker... well the same could be said about me ha."Felix will tell Gertrude"It seems to me we should leave... staying will only put us at risk of infections or worse."
Looking at the commander of this torn up camp. Felix will look for signs of infection or if he's just fatigued. [Medicine check of 20on discord]
Realizing that they weren’t going to get any straight answers with the commander, Irommek decided that they needed more answers.
“It would be our honor to help with your mission while our paths have so fatefully crossed. Which direction do the attacks from the undead usually come from? Do the attacks come more frequently at a certain time of the day or evening? Is there a plan for a counterattack to clear the jungle around the camp or maybe a regular patrol around the area outside of camp or is the plan to stay put and defend this area as the grimy bastards and jungle beasts throw themselves at the walls? Is there anything that we can assist with now from a defensive...or fighting stand point?”
As he was talking he paced around the tent, casually looking for any information on a map or scribbled in a report that would help when they continue on to the Aldani Basin.
OOC: Roll for perception (15 in discord) to try and find more info in the tent.
The commander was about to reply harshly to Felix's comment, but then Irommek takes over the conversation and he answers the dwarf's questions:" There is no clear pattern of the undead attacks. They seem rather random, both in direction and time. The plan is to send patrol northward, to clear a path to Port Nyanzaru. But as you can see, we barely can defend ourselves."
There is no useful information to be discerned from the map. Likely, the party has more details about the land of Chult than the commander has.
Felix thinks"If it's this easy to get under his skin he's definitely stressed." Felix looking at Gertrude"It's seems I'll just be in your way." he begins to walk away saying."I'll leave you two with this fool."Walking to Kurma seeing the sister of Helm "Kurma who's your friend?"
Felix looking at the sister with lecherous eyes, will hear the soldiers groan. Seeing them suffer snaps Felix out of his idiotic acting."Ah... I, uh, have something that could help those guards over there. These are Sinda Berries they help with poisons and diseases. The fresher the better unfortunately they lose freshness fast. "Felix pulls out the remain berries (5) and gives them to the sister"Sorry... maybe we can find more later. I am Felix, Felix Windfall you are?"
"Yeah, you should let your people that go out know to look for those berries. I'll leave you all to it." Felix feeling out of place will look for some guards that are just eating or resting before taking up their shift for watch. Drinking from the Sinda Rum "Tell me, you want some rum? Could help with the nerves." Offering it to the one's that will take it.
[This probably the last quarter of the Rum Skin since its been 10 days. A water skin full is 5lb. in PHB.]
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kurma try to remember what he knows about medicinal plant against this diseases: Nature13
Felix, Inete, I think we could maybe try to gather a few plant tomorrow morning, we might found some growing around the camp. Let's try to get some sleep for tonight, tommorow we'll try to clear the area of undead and get some medicinal plant maybe
Kurma knows of a meaty beetle about the size of a human hand called Yahcha. This beetle helps hugely in fighting the Mad Monkey Fever. For the shivering sickness, the best bet is fresh Sinda Berries.

"Commander, how about you put us up for the night and we'll help you defend the camp if there is an attack tonight. Tomorrow we'll see if we can help your diseased soldiers. Then we'll talk more and make a plan."
OOC: My insight roll was weak on the commander (11 on discord), can someone else who is in the room with us roll another insight check please?

"You leave at dawn. I have no tent for you, you have to manage in the open."
OOC: Oniss, I think we need your particular persuasion skill set. Do you think you can get him to give us a tent? We'll have to set up watch anyway as well. Then again, this guy is changing his mind by the second, so tomorrow he'll have different ideas again I would guess (and he'll probably not let us leave)...
Brunella has been silent until now. This camp is exactly the kind of disaster she sees all the time from city dwellers. City people trying to bring their city into the jungle. They will die, go man, or go home. But at the mention of undead she speaks. "What kind of undead have attacked you. There are many kind."
"They are everywhere. Decide wisely."
To Gertrude, the commander does not seem an evil person but he seems rather paranoic.
Felix Windfall(Human-V Lv.7 Rogue) killed in ToA, Vallan Houndstrider (Halfling Ghostwise Lv.1 Fighter) in DiAThe commander seems just tired and stressed by the situation at the camp.
Felix looking at the commander "You need some sleep, not enough rest will drive you crazy... clearly it has taken some effect."

Very good, thanks Sister, I think I have an idea of what you need. I will go tomorrow searching for those berries.
Kurma is leaving, trying to find his group. On his way, he tries to listen to what the soldier are saying (rumours?).
