Felix putting on sad (mask) "I'm someone who's trying to survive. You should understand that fighting out here. Besides I have standards, I only kill those that deserve it. When the time comes you'll see my skills. Keep the rum it's got some medicine in it. It helps keep diseases in check."

The soldier is puzzled by the masked man's words, He drops the argument: " Take your rum. I am healthy." He then stands up and goes to take his shift of the watch.

Felix will take his rum and put it up in his bag.

Kurma is looking for Captain Firebeard and ask him if he needs some of us to help with the night watch.

Captain Firebeard is a veteran gold dwarf, spending most of his time trying to best organize the men available to hold a spear or a bow. " Well, yes, why not? I would need two of you for each shift of 1 hour. Starting in three hours from now. What do you say?"

Brunella nods, she is accustomed to keeping watch

Irommek gives the gold dwarf a firm two-handed handshake and pulls out his container of ale smiling. 

"Aye brother dwarf, we'll help with the watch.  Oniss and I are accustomed to night shifts together and will gladly help where you need us.  In the mean time, share a drink with an elderly  dwarf and tell me about these undead dinosaurs.  How did you ever defeat such a creature?"

Pouring some ale, Irommek settles in, shares a couple of his stories and tries to gather as much intelligence on what they might face tomorrow in the jungle outside the fortification.

Before the night start, Kurma is having a short rest.

So came the night at Camp Vengeance. No wind can be felt. Even the trees are silent. An owl's hoot. Or two owls. The noise of a beast less identifiable than the owls.

A creak! No, that was the wooden floor of the other tower, as a guard walked on it.

A cry of another beast pierces the silence. Strident, maybe from a fledgeling? A call for help?

A full moon tonight. A nice, pallid light descends upon this part of the jungle...

And suddenly the dawn comes.

In the dawn, Brunella looks at the river and the camp. She reflects how the camp looks like the first footprint of cities coming to the jungle.

That night Felix will drink the last of his rum thinking he will need to get some will pull out the Alchemy Jug. "Uh, Wine." He will refill his rum skin with wine and then letting his party drink what's left before putting it back in his pack. When dawn approaches Felix will put on his repellent and begin to walk the grounds until his party is ready.

Lorsa Bilwatal, a young female Chultan human, is one of the captains of the scouts and comes to speak to the party as they prepare to go into the jungle. "I have orders to assign four of our hunters to your party. Come back before sunset. Do you have any questions? "

Felix will study her for a second "Yeah I got something, If you or your guys go out keep your eyes out for brown berries should taste like crap but they help fight diseases and poisons. Also if your not busy tonight how about sharing drinks when we return?" Felix will have happy (mask) on.

" I can share the blade of my dagger if you like."

"Ha now that sounds more like fun but, we have a mission of our own so let's leave that for later tonight." Felix will wait for the others to get ready.

Gertrude wakes up, applies the insect repellant very thoroughly (after seeing the effects the insect bites are having) and walks around the grounds where she finds a very impatient Felix lingering by the gates. 

"Let's wake up the rest and head out. The smell in here is horrible. Cannot wait for some fresh air in the forest."

Musharib: " All right. Let's go out of here. Who is going to lead with me? "

OOC Decide who is going to make the Survival check to find the berries and the Yahchas. Musharib helps, so the check is made with advantage. Also decide a pace: fast, normal or slow. With a fast pace, you can do more checks per hour but with disadvantage. With a slow pace, you can use Stealth.

Irommek wakes and stumbles around the camp.  Somehow he succeeded in sleeping with a root pressed into the small of his back.  Trying to stretch out the kinks, he manages to slather on his insect repellent and meets the party only half awake and ready to tackle the day. 

He remembers that he is supposed to be looking for some berries and a bug but can’t recall what they look like.  This is going to be a long day.

OOC: rolled a 6 on survival check (even with advantage) in discord. 

The first hour of the journey into the jungle is not fruitful. But neither is dangerous. No beast nor undead show up.

Felix finally on the move will let the other look for the first hour. Seeing how we we're unsuccessful for the first hour "We should probably go at a slower pace, we might have missed some already." Going slower Felix will look for some more berries specifically since he know what they look like.

Survival: 12
