(Just to be clear, I was referring to the rubies that were set as eyes in the statue if Moloch. Often depicted (possibly described) as red, they are pretty large, but if she puts them in the skull, the "magically shrink" per the module... kind of, yeah. A warlock PC had them, I assume when he left he gave then to one of you, and since I know Moghaddam doesn't currently have them, I'm sure the current trio of PCs dies, along with all the other ones except the last few in Theaselar's possession. So anyway, these gems, weirdly, are not part of Lum's infernal machine, they cone feom the river you explored just prior to this. The teeth in the demilich skull are part of Lum's Machine. I could not hope to desceibe this cmearly in character, but it probably doesnt matter to anyone anyway. The real pooint of her position is to get the resche party to steal the gems from the statue, bit thats already completed, it's just a holdover.)
Seodra answers as the footsteps approach, the sphere carving away layers of stone overhead. "I am an artist and an expert in gems, specifically. Questions of provenance are the domain of loremasters. What I do know is that rubies of the kind we came to liberate are found in abundance in this temple. I've scarcely left this cell since I was captured, but from the moment I entered the temple, I could sense these dark beauties all around. This temple was probably built on the site of a mine once these were mostly removed. Even so, the leftovers are abundant even now. And there's something else - these rubies, they focus magical energy but they also filter it. What they've been playing at here, it's only the darkest shade of the energy held in these other crystals. Are they from Lum's infamous machine? I can't say. But I can say that they are very unusual. Unlike any gems I've encountered before."
At this, the sound of the footsteps approaching stops and a series of guttural noises are shouted from beyond the door.
"We have to hurry!" Seodra yells, snapping out of the trance she falls into when discussing gems.
After sam moves the tables “ t get the sphere and put it to the door” sam will move to where he won’t take damage “right burn us a way out” and he will attempt to cast disintegrated on the roof
"Grab your things, we're getting out of this place unscathed"-Gravity barks command when she watches the movement and action of her lizardfolk companion.
Whatever is waiting for them at the other side of the door must be the result of an ill omen and the not-so-bright bounty hunter doesn't want to face it at this point of her adventure... when she stands so close to the remaining components of the machine and possibly other things of great value remains unclaimed.
"Yes! Feed my appetite for destruction, master. Feel the entropy encompass all material things, releasing them to chaos." whispers ruinblade, gleefully to Sam as a ten foot wide swath of stone vaporizes away from the ceiling, Bove the shallow divet made by the sphere of Annihilation.
Beyond the door of gemsmith's cell, a massive furry paw rips through the webs occluding the door, slamming into the wood, sending splinters of hardwood flying.

<just so you know, the rest of the gems (three, clustered together) are optional at this point and not required to advance the story>
A massive claw, tipped with razor sharp claws bursts through a hole in the door. As the creature dismantled the solid slab of cellulose, you see before you a creatureborh feral, yet possessed of deep understanding. Behind each forceful blow: precision, control, intelligence. He is not wasting his energy, wearing himself out. The destruction left in his wake is the result of merely a wave of the paw. The creature stares each of you in the eye as it approaches. It stops in its tracks and let's out a long howling roar.
(You can all see the image, yes? Let me know if you can't, or if you just want me to describe it - I previously had a player who could not see, so I am used to describing even when i do post images, but I think sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, and this is one of those times.)
Pcs are up. The bear is at the door. You have opened up a path to the surface directly overhead. (Presumably that one lizardfolk guard is still out there too)
Sam stares at him not looking impressed “I’ve come through the future you have two choices, join me and return with me and see the new Ear of this place underneath my rule, or be another skull to this place made by arrerack”

Gravity lets out a distressed shriek when the presence of something frightening becomes evident in the form of a bear-like creature. Immediately, she casts Warding Bond on Seodra and shifts into the bestial form of a coyote as a precautionary measure. She will address the creature by saying:
"You are not going to hurt the gemsmith, are you? Boss Thessalar will be mad at you if you attack Seodra."

The bear speaks eloquently in reply ro Sam: "I have guarded the very gates of Mt. Celestia and and served Malbolge. I have no fear of a mortal reptile. Moloch has sent me to find the thieves who destroyed his idol. It seems my talents for seize warfare are not needed, as you've foolishly returned to the scene. Fate it seems would have it that this is the spot where you meet your end. You may dabble with traversing time, but fate cares not. Your end is here, with me. But worry not, evil child, you too may find honorable service in the nine hells as I. Now, allow me to extebd an invitation, Ive already arranged your trip."

Gravity chuckles lightly when Sam utters a curse word and pats him on the back as a gesture of encouragement. She casts Sanctuary on herself, then leaps upwards to grab onto the legs of the wizard who's about to take off.
"Every war fought since the dawn if the multiverse has been among men led by destiny, into a fate they could not choose otherwise. Not every warrior on the battle field is there at the mercy of fate. You enter the fray by choice. Live by the sword, die by the sword," the archon reasons.
