Crownsguard will follow the others into the circle, “It is good to see that the magical society has fixed the small ‘merging with horrid aberrations’ glitch that happened with our teleportation circles. From what I remember, that was a very pertinent issue.”

Ink will cast another levitation spell as the mage works through the ritual to help Flint and Crownsguard move the lead sheathed ring through the portal along with the three of them.
As you cross into the shimmering cylindrical portal, the hazy image of rough woodwork and straw becomes clearer until, seconds later, you exit the portal. A chilly draft greets you, and your surroundings have now changed to the (markedly colder) interior of a sizable horse stable. A bearded dwarf attendant in leather overalls, who is shoveling horse dung, gives you a nonchalant salute, and surreptitiously shows his Harper pin, worn on the inside of a reversable pocket.
Ink nods and inquires in a low voice, while flipping his collar showing his pin, "Zazspar Bronzefire? Krowen sent us here to see a weaponsmith about selling some... rare... goods." Ink points to the lead sheath being held aloft by magic, Crownsguard and Flint.
"We're short on time and don't know our way around Mirabar. We'd like to get back to Everlund tonight. Any help would be appreciated."
// Ah I didn’t realize you were trying to carry it in the lead sheeting. It would be severely damaged by now, the lead, since it doesn’t have the integrity to deal with such strain! I’ll get a response up soon. //

"We're short on time and don't know our way around Mirabar. We'd like to get back to Everlund tonight. Any help would be appreciated."
“Ah! O’course,” says the dwarf. He puts out his hand to meet yours, and some bit of straw fall from his beard. “Seems you already know my name, and it’d give me much pleasure to know yours!” He nods to all three of you.
”That’s the star metal? I heard the giants are after it. Let’s get it thing in a cart and cover it up, and we’ll carry it over to the smithy? He told me he’s ready to pay, so I figured it was a win-win for the good guys.”
"Well met. My name is Ink. Crownsguard did a fine job of introducing himself. And the quiet master of the smith there is Flint," Ink replies.
"Yes, let's load it up into the cart and do this as soon as possible. Gents, if there's any holes in the lead liner we have to try to mend it if we can."
Ink quickly describes to Zazspar how the lead is blocking the giant's divination.
"We must advise the buyer to not remove the ring until it's ready to be melted down and to keep it surrounded in lead otherwise. We don't need fire giants descending upon the city. We'll all be glad to see this melted down and out of warring hands."
"Yes, let's. And thanks, again." Ink uses what's left of his levitation spell along with Crownsguard's and Flint's help to load up the cart with the (mostly?) sheathed ring.
// You can absolutely have used Mending on it, btw. Flint didn’t need the guidance cantrip so a constant casting of Mending, as Ink suggested in the PM, is entirely reasonable//
The cart is taken to the local smithy, who turns out to be—surprise of surprises—a dwarf. The brown-bearded smith directs the cart to loading door, where a heavy duty block-and-tackle is used to remove the piece from the cart.
After examaning it, the smith removes his work gloves and moves to a chest in his workshop. “Quality stuff! Hard to find alloy this good these days...I can tell it was buried for a while, but it’s just compacted dirt. True adamantine doesn’t rust or tarnish. I’ll give ya 12,500 for it, paid in gemstones.”
Ink, unknowingly, lets his jaw drop slack a bit. He recovers and says, "I'll let Flint handle the exchange. He's our resident forge master. Although, I do have a question - although we'll be taking the bulk in precious stones, as you suggest, I know some of us in our group could use upgraded weaponry or armor. Have you anything available that we can purchase against the price of the adamantine."
While Flint works out the details, Ink looks at the smith and his workshop for signs of any Zhent or Harper iconography.
Eventually, as Flint and the smith talk shop and prices, he'll emphasize to Bronzefire that the smith should keep the ring covered in lead unless melting it down or breaking it up, reminding him of those who were seeking it previously.
Flint spits in his hand and extends it. "A fair price by me estimation. Mind ye smelt it soon, there's some who yet value it intact. Can ye show me some o' yer wares?" Flint extends his holy symbol and blesses the forge, and the smith if he allows. "Know ye Master Foehammer outta Triboar?"
Crownsguard will follow the others into the circle, “It is good to see that the magical society has fixed the small ‘merging with horrid aberrations’ glitch that happened with our teleportation circles. From what I remember, that was a very pertinent issue.”

“I can see that,” says the dwarf, eyeing the cat. He seems rather bemused by Crownsguard.
“Well, er...should we get this loaded up?” Bronzefire’s cart seems to be very well constructed, capable of quite a heavy load.
