The Krayt Fang thrums around you as it's engines power up, lifting through the hangar bay doors and into the bright sunlight of the Tatooine sky. Soon, Mos Shuuta vanishes behind you as you race out over the Dune Sea and climb towards outer space. Suddenly, an alert klaxon blares. As you leave Tatooine's atmosphere, several spherical starfighters with distinctive hexagonal wing assemblies appear on the ship's scanners, screaming in on an intercept course - TIE fighters. The starfighters shoot past, laser cannons blazing, and sparks fly from a console in the cockpit - you've been hit! You're not clear of the planet's gravity well yet and can't jump to lightspeed without the hyperspace reactor igniter installed. You'll have to deal with these TIE fighters first.
There are four TIE fighters at close range (1 purple). You'll have to roll cool for initiative and EITHER shoot down all four TIE fighters OR install the hyperspace reactor ignitor. Here's what each ship position can do with you guys:
Pash grunts as the ship takes the hit. "If that happens again, we're done! I'm taking evasive maneuvers, you guys gotta take those fighters down quick! I'll try to get you a good shot!" He throws the ship into evasive maneuvers before trying to gain the advantage, twirling and dodging around as he tries to get above the other ships.
3 successes, 1 threat, 1 triumph.
Pash pulls off a brilliant set of maneuvers as he spins around, looping above the TIE fighters so that Oskara has a perfect shot. "And we gotta get that hyperdrive installed as fast as possible!" he pants out. "I don't know how long the Fang can hold out!"
End results:
The TIE fighters upgrade 2 difficulty die to a challenge die on their next attack (thanks triumph!)
Mattie shouts out, “Sasha! Get in here and help hold wires and hand me stuff!”
the technician climbs inside the mechanisms of the hyperdrive and gets to work fast, connecting wires and fine tuning gauges and displays (1 success, 3 advantage). With a low Hummmmm, the hyperdrive begins to awaken, slowly charging up, “Drek! It’ll take a little less than a minute before we are ready to jump Pashy! Upside, I diverted extra juice into the cannons so Oskara can unload hell down on those Waffles!”

Sasha does as asked, biting her tongue from the venomous words she had towards Mattie for telling her what to do. That said, their lives did hinge on this one, so she obliged her.
Oskara, still bleeding from pretty much every orifice, hops into the gunnery seat for the dorsal cannon, and immediately depresses the trigger to pew-pew at TieGroup2.
Gunnery (4G + 2P + 1B) results: 7 Success + 3 Threat => Damage = 6 (? I think that's what it says in post #306 above?) (can I convert any of those successes to critical hits?)
Pash grins and raises his gun, firing once more into Trex, but the long fight is starting to get to him.
