Alaric will reach out to belthan and grab his shoulder and say "Not yet my friend. Did you see that?" He'll point to the location where he spotted the large creature and relay to his companions "Near the entrance there I saw a large dog but it just went back inside. I reckon they have their guard up so let's proceed with caution."
Urged back by Alaric, Belthran instead begins reciting an inspiring tale of warriors, infused by molten lava in their veins, that went forth into battle in their longships; even after their ships had sunk under them, still took down their foes by cling onto them and sinking to the bottom of the briny together. Fortunately, this is said with such a heavy giantish accent, much of it goes over his companions heads.
Vrajitor will be pusyfooting up with the close combat group, shoot arrows until enemy is close, then chop-chop; at least that’s his initial plan. If it seems effective he’ll consider a withdrawing attack profile, drawing them out as it were.
Alaric will take out some coal and offer it to the party and say : "Would anyone like some to mask your scent? Once Asvala moves away from us I dont think we'll be protected by his spell and those wolves will smell you from a mile away. Even if you're hidden." he'll start rubbing himself with the coal.
From the heavily wooded tree line Alaric adds the last touches to his work on two small devices he plans to use to lure the beasts out of the giant lair. One of the tiny rock like devices he has will morph into a large fat rabbit, the other device emits a powerful magical aroma of succulent cuts of fresh meat. Using another device that looks like a cross between backscratcher on a spring and a tiny trebuchet, he hurls the rocks just far enough so the wolves can perceive it, but close enough for us the team to engage optimally.
As Belthran infuses his comrades with a tale of combat and victory Asvala and Vrajitor head out under the genasi’s earth gift and the two disappear into the very snow gently falling.
After a few moments even the company can smell the wonderful aroma wafting from the area where a fat brown rabbit sits contentedly cleans itself with fresh powdery snow.
A few moments later the heavy breathing of a winter wolf appears. It spots the Hare, and it freezes in place prepares, and suddenly leaps for the rabbit. And then howls a short yelp as it bites into metal gears and springs.
In what seems one motion Asvala and Vrajitor rise as if from the earth itself Asvala hurls a Javelin at the wolf and the Half orc raises his great bow. Asvala strikes first blood.
Belthran has been whispering a discordant melody and suddenly unleashes it in the direction of the Wolf, which, while not unleashing it’s full might, leaves the wolf discomforted and muddled.
Vrajitor’s bow hits though, and imbeds an arrow in the wolf
Alaric tosses an acorn at the wolf but misses when the acorn lands it creates a bonfire.
Sandow however, is on the mark as his arrow strikes the wolf.
Asvala Vor starts to run towards the woods at an angle across and in front of the wolf and throws a hand axe. The axe strikes the wolf Braining it for a split second.
Belthran follows up his whispers of dissonance with a loud mockery of the wolf filled with ancient Bardic magic, cursing the wolf for being the spawn of dog and devil and threatening it with a life on a leash. Apparently, the wolf speaks Giant and turns to look in the direction of Belthran and growl.
Vrajitor whispers a spell that places the “Hunter’s Mark” on the wolf and lets fly with another arrow. The arrow strikes hard.
Sandow changes position as he shoots again. He misses, but just as quickly moves back under cover.
From his own position Alaric casts bonfire again. This time the full force of the magical cantrip lites the wolf ablaze.
The smoking wolf leaps from the fire with a great howl of frustration and heads towards the wood line barking loud enough to bring snow down from the tree limbs. The wolf roars and showers an area with a frosty blast of ice-cold breath. Alaric is chilled to the bone but survives as he was barely a foot away from the extent of the cold fury.
Vor closes the gap and brings the might of his great axe down on the wolf.
Warming to his theme, Belthran viciously mocks the "overgrown poodle" that it's going to end up as a child's rocking horse, stuffed, and decorated with pretty pink bows. The wolf is noticeably affected by the sound of its whining.
Vrajitor Steps back a pace and hits it once more with an arrow.
Sandow also shoots and hits. Before the arrow sinks into flesh Sandow has moved and found cover.
Alaric throws another bonfire cone out right in front of his position and the scrambles into the branches of the nearest tree.
The Wolf hurls itself at the Goliath Bard yelling “Found you!” in Giant. He Winter Wolf’s bite is solid, and the bard feels the icy burn of the wolfs huge fangs.
As Vrajitor pulls another arrow from his quiver the shock of pain hits him as he is knocked from his feet and feels icy flesh tearing pain from a huge assailant ripping at him from behind.
Vor hears the wolf speaking and watches him pounce on the mighty Goliath. But then he hears the second wolf attack his close friend and hears the cry of anguish from the attack.
Torn between the two, he sees Alaric and knows Sandow is there somewhere to help Belthran and in anguish turns and charges the new wolf with the fury and rage of his ancient faith in Tempos and will teach this new wolf the meaning of honorable combat through his death!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vrajitor scrambles to gain his feet and attack the Winter Wolf with his sword. "Yaaaah! Aarrrgh!" he yells, spitting into the things eye. (OCC Maybe just figuratively)

He does get the spell bonus, so says the GM, so 31 total.
Vor readies a javelin for ranged attack, but can drop it if fire is required. "Great Spirit, let us pass like the silent falling snow..."

Belthran has heard of similar foils before and readily agrees, smearing the proffered coal liberally over himself.
