"So, two things - one: why can we only ask one question of the banshee, when it still seems to me to be equally likely that she'll just eat my soul or something, and two: do we have a problem with lying to the spooky necromancer guy?"
"I for one, am not a fan of undead. Not for the ones the wizard controls and not for the banshee spirit either. Personally, I feel like they should all be wipes from this plane if existence. But, that's not practical at this time." Sheyla says.
"I have no problem stiffing the wizard. He has a contingent of zombies and getting this name or whatever will likely further his quest for power. "
Velshir speaks up. "I feel no allegiance to this Red Wizard necromancer. The promise was made to the Phandolin citizen, and she it was who gave the gift to improve our chances of success." Velshir shows the beautiful comb to the rest of the party.
"I think we'll get to the Echo Cave anyway. OK we at least seem to have a unanimous decision that we like the sister more than the necromancer, so how about we deal with that job first and then debate asking the necromancer's question after? If Joshua fluffs his first flirting attempt and our souls get eaten then we can save ourselves the debate about what to do next"
Prentiss smirks with the last comment, absolutely confident that Joshua couldn't blow a charm attempt if he tried. He shoulders his pack and starts off towards possibly his scariest day since...his life changed forever.
"And I'm not too keen on my soul these days anyway; if the old girl wants to eat it then at least I will have lost it in the attempt to do some good"
“I care not about the echo cave. We have tasks enough to do piling up before us, including rescuing our dwarven friend, if he’s still alive. We can’t afford to get distracted.”
Joshua moves his head in agreement, semi lost in thoughts about what he's going to say to this entity. "So we ignore the necromancer's request and focus on the sisters."
After several hours of travel, you have reached Conyberry. This small town consists of around a dozen ruined houses nestled along the edge of the forest and a couple scattered homesteads that are also in ruins nearby. The settlement looks like it had been taken over at some point by an aggressive horde of fighters as the ruins show signs of buildings having been converted to barracks with barricades erected here and there. Even these are overgrown with vegetation, showing signs of long disuse however.
The Triboar Trail runs right through the abandoned town. From the ruins of Conyberry, another old trail leads northwest into Neverwinter Wood. You believe that this is the direction described to you leading to the Banshee Agatha's Lair.
The forest grows dark and still as the trail winds deeper into the trees. Heavy vines and thick layers of moss drape the branches, and the air is noticeably colder than it was in the ruined village. Rounding a bend in the trail, you see a screen made from the warped branches of trees standing close together, woven into a domelike shelter in the shadows. A low doorway leads inside.
“These woods feel unnatural to me, as though dampened by an unholy influence. As for etiquette, I think you should follow your instincts, Joshua. We will back you up as needed.”
Prentiss gives Joshua a reassuring (he hopes) slap on the shoulder and says "You have already overcome greater challenges to get here, friend. In, question, out - don't hang around to ask her to the midsummer games"
He winks at this last comment and then backs away to let Joshua compose himself before he has to enter the dome. His right hand reaches for the crystal hanging at his neck while his left flexes nervously.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Giving a slight smile from the confidence of his companions Joshua will move forward slowly stepping into the entryway. Finding a small branch he will reach into his pouch and pull out a small bit of phosphorus and rub it onto the end casting Light on it. Deep breath and he will begin to speak "Agatha, I am Joshua Silverlight of the Neverwinter Academy. I bear you a gift and have humbly come to ask a question of you. Please grace us with your magnificent presence so we may bask in your beauty and drink of your infinite wisdom and knowledge."
Loren digs into his temple with his fingertips.

"But, the legends of wave echo cave..."
A gentle breeze swirls about you as gather to discuss next moves, leaves swirling and the sun lightening in the sky. A nice cool day for travel.

"Works for me! Let's go!"
"Done. Let's go see what a banshee looks like" says Prentiss, laughing a little nervously.

Loren shouts a loud greeting towards the town as the party approaches.
"Haloooo!"
Several birds take flight out of various openings in the buildings, but you see nothing else within the ruined town.
Velshir: “so we take this trail to find Agatha’s abode?”
"If I remember correctly yes" Joshua will turn up the old trail and be running various greetings and conversations thru his mind.

"Do we go in or try to address her from out here?" Joshua will pause for his companions opinions before doing anything.
Velshir reckons they’ve come to the right place.

Velshir gives Joshua the fancy comb.
