@Brencharis - please also roll Nature check to see what you recall.
@Velshir - (missed this one earlier) -
Owlbears are incredibly strong and typically attack twice in a round. Claw / Beak.
Velshir charges forward to engage the owlbear before it can get any closer to his party-mates swinging fiercely with his mace connecting with its skull. With a screech, it shakes its head against the pain. In the far distance to the east, you hear an answering screech.
(went ahead with Velshirs as roll was high, still pending other rolls - initiatives are not in above order. Unknown as yet.)
(Anyone else that wishes may do a Nature check or other check depending on what you wish to recall)

Initiative 6
Kallen Cast Bless(1st level) on Velshir, Cal Poe, Brencharis and staying at the back with the casters not trying to get the attention of the owlbear and it's mate.
Kallen summons 3 magical golden coins and tosses towards the 3 individuals "Lady Luck lend me your blessings to rid of this foul monstrosity!" (Add a d4 to your attack & saving throw rolls <3 )

initiative: 9
Brencharis grabs her bow from it's spot on her back, shoving the deck in her backpack as she does so, and quickly fires an arrow (Action: Attack with shortbow) at the owlbear the group has found. She grins and shouts "Let's take this feathery fiend down quick alright before it's friend gets here, alright?! Before I forget, try and stay away from it if you can, it’s got a nasty bite and an even worse follow up! Some people I used to know saw someone get to close to one and it was over before they blink, with the bite knocking them down, and the claw swipe taking their head off!", and then hides from the (Bonus Action: Cunning Action Hide) owlbear behind a tree but positioned so the others can still see her.
(need initiative from Joshua and CalPol processing attacks prior to Owlbear's now)
@Brencharis
She remembers a story of an elder member of the guild being taken down by an Owlbear. It was a quick fight with beak and claw so swift that he didn't have a chance. (two attacks per round, potential of over 30 damage between the two on a regular attack.)
Brencharis stores her deck and rushes to the nearest tree, leaning around it to get a better shot and fires. Hitting the Owlbear with additional damage to the creature due to Velshir's proximity but its still standing strong.
Prentiss draws a dagger and moves towards the bear, reaching for his crystal necklace and and shouting a cry in Draconic which blasts a jet of icy mist straight towards the owlbear.
(Move 30ft towards the melee, presumably not reaching. Casting frostbite - DC13 CON save or take 4 cold damage and have disadvantage on next attack)
(need initiative from Joshua and CalPol processing attacks prior to Owlbear's now)
Prentiss moves forward, nearly up to the beast (assuming from move that you don't mean to directly engage) casting and a shower of frost lands on the beast.Owlbear Con Save vs DC 13 21But the Owlbear, having an exceptional Constitution shakes it off easily.
Seeing his attack shaken off by the burly creature, Prentiss weighs up his options - an ice knife would hit Velshir, but should he be invoking his curse again so soon? He was becoming a little too comfortable with its destructive power, and...excited by it?
"This is why it's a curse" he says to himself in his head, "This is why you're not supposed to be around people"
@Joshua please roll two d20s - one just because one one for Wild Surge
Rolling Initiative for Cal Pol - 18
Joshua hurls a small fireball at the beast, flashing by Velshir and briefly igniting the creature to sizzle out quickly but after doing damage. The Owlbear blasts out another screech to be met much closer but still distant by another Screech to the East. A light vibration starting to be felt below your feet.
@Velshir - as I don't see clear rules regarding disadvantage for the enemy on the Dodge Action - I will only apply the Ki if it were to hit you by making a new roll. Otherwise the Ki will not be used. And now I see it - will apply disadvantage to future rolls. Rerolling second attack for dodge action.
The Owlbear, quite angry at being bashed, lit on fire and otherwise irritated in its home, slashes at Velshir with a huge bear-like claw (and not the pastry kind) Attack: 8 Damage: 17 then snaps at him with its massive owlish beak. Attack: 27 Damage: 24
Velshir dodges quickly to the side to evade the claw but calls upon his energy to avoid the second. Owlbear beak attack reroll - Attack: 22 Damage: 16
Velshir finds his shoulder in a massive vice grip briefly but is able to get free with a decent injury. (reduced damage due to temp hp)
Kallen tosses three golden coins in the air, each flying to various party-mates. One to Velshir, one to CalPol and one to Brencharis dousing them in a glittery gold haze briefly. (for the next ten rounds please add 1d4 to each of your attack or save rolls provided Kallen maintains concentration - may attack but new concentration spell will cancel this one, if hit will need to roll save vs Con 13 to keep focus.)(you may change this move should you wish to, but seems good under the circumstances - will retcon for a brief time)
Initiatives: Velshir 24 (25/27)(Blessed)(Protected)(+2 AC); Brencharis 22 (21/21)(Blessed); Prentiss 21 (23/23) ; Joshua 19 (17/19);Owlbear 17(-24 hp);Kallen 6 (21/21) ; CalPol 6(25/25+5)(Blessed)(+5s -> temp hp left from earlier)
CalPolmoves closer to Velshir imposing disadvantage to all attacks made against him, healing him 7 hp and enhancing his AC by 2.
@Velshir should you wish to use Ki again for dodge - it will only be used if other disadvantages fail to protect you causing re-roll as above, otherwise not used, but having this option would prevent other uses of it.

(Move 30ft towards the melee, presumably not reaching. Casting frostbite - DC13 CON save or take 4 cold damage and have disadvantage on next attack)
(You are all within 30' of the Owlbear at the edge of the map in case any changes to your move will give a little bit)

(Thanks DM, that was the plan)

"This is why it's a curse" he says to himself in his head, "This is why you're not supposed to be around people"
Velshir remains focused on this monstrous beast. He is intent to not let the claws rake him or the sharp beak gore him.
(He is taking the dodge action, which gives attackers disadvantage)
Holding for CalPol and Joshua's initiative as this is due to be a rough fight.
