For example, if you roll a nat 20, in addition to rolling damage twice, which the PbP system will do for you, you can add something else limited by your imagination, like, you break a foes weapon, or it gets stuck in something and he can't use it anymore, or you position yourself much better, or i'll let you learn some amazing secret that's to your advantage, etc etc etc etc. Throw out an idea and i'll consider it.

On our way to this town, we cleared an entire cavern of goblins, many of whom didn't even have a chance to retaliate. Those who did were quickly taken care of. We slayed the bugbear Klarg and a Ripper. We have heard of your actions and they will not be tolerated. I suggest you leave this town immediately and never return. We will promptly remove you from power in any case. Spare yourself the trouble, leave, and never darken the lives of others."
The thugs are all in melee range. Brandishing short swords, they close the gap fast, literally on top of you all as you guys walk down the steps of the Townmaster Hall.
