Danse nodded to Kurstin. "That seems to be the best method of approach. Brock? Stay close behind. We'll need you for the doors." Danse's scimitars quickly flourished, readying in a neutral stance to prevent fingers being chopped off in the rather cramped area.
"I got no problem goin in first" Brock replies back as he cracks his kuckles. Water drips from every inch of the soggy mountain. "I don't see great in the dark but uh..." He would pause and look around towards his companions. "I'm thinking it might be best if I stand between some of you and any more sharp things.." As he glances to the blood still staining some of their clothing. He would then head off up the stairs unless someone stopped him.

Kurstin hissed to his party when he saw the spiders - some were able to locate them and take defensive actions to prevent being bitten, but others were not as lucky. Brushing away his own attacker, Kurstin pressed the special ampoule in his gloved hand, forcing a tiny amount of the liquid inside across the specially engraved quartz shard sewn in place. The interaction of this alchemical substance and the runes for frost and numbing cold caused the substance to shoot forth and form a rapidly expanding patch of crystalized ice on the tiny creature! (Casting frostbite. DC13 Con save or it takes 3 cold damage and has disadvantage on the next weapon attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.)

Radgar snarled as the spider bit into his exposed flesh on his nose. With the delicacy of a surgeon, the dwarf swings his hammer through the air, catching the spider and missing his own bulbous nose.

Brock would shout as he quickly brushed the eight-legged creature aside. "Holy Shi..!!!" The large man exclaims before quickly attempting to smash the spider underneath his stee-toed boot!
(Danse should be at 8 hit points currently! Second Wind was used!)
Danse watched Kai fall once more. The Bard would need to somehow work on his defenses. He whirls both blades downwards, cutting at the frustratingly small targets.
If the spider attacking him stops moving after the first blade connects, Danse will modify his grip on the second and twist mid-strike, sending the second blade carving into the one terrorising Kurstin or Kaiseras’s body, if the spiders have been defeated by Danse’s turn. “Get Kai back up. I believe fortune provided him a potion for this eventuality.”
"Damn spiders..." Brock would growl towards the small creatures as his companion collapsed. "Quit trying to hit them with yer weapons and treat em like the bugs they are. Use yer boots!" He would exclaim as he continued to slam his heavy feet down towards the closest spiders.
Kurstin tries to revive Kai again. He had no more alchemical remedies...the best he could do was some basic first aid that he learned at University. (Medicine: rolled a 6 in the Campaign log =( He was eager to move on and catch Lamm before he could escape, but poor Kai had been close to death so many times today the artificer was beginning to think he was part tabaxi! So if the group needed to take a short break, he would look around and watch. There was another room somewhere close and they needed to find it!
Radgar stands over the fallen bard and growls 'This one needs to be a bit more careful.' the dwarf begins rummaging in the fallen man's pack, finding the last healing potion and pouring it down his throat. (Rasec you want to do the honors and roll for your HP?).
'I think we could all use a breather for a moment to get our bearings and catch our breath.'
Brock would move through the hip, tossing empty creates and sending splinters flying across the deck of the ship. "DAMN IT!" He'd growl before kicking a spider corpse into the water. "where is that bastard hiding. Maybe we should head back up and talk to the kids.... kids like me... maybe we can give'em each a few coins we got off the guys we killed. That'd make em happy right?" Brock would ask as he rubs his beard.

Radgar lowers himself to his knees, his hammer resting on the decking in front of him, both hands clasped on the shaft. 'As the heat of the forge purifies and strengthens the steel, so do these trials strengthen my flesh' his voice a near whisper as he takes the moments respite to recenter himself and prepare for what comes next. (short rest 4)
(After the rest...) Kurstin's mind had been analyzing angles and distances while the group rested, trying to determine where Lamm might be hiding. He went back down to the water and stood on the planks, looking up at the building above and the open water to the north. "We're not under the office where we found the hole and bucket..." he thought to himself. Kurstin turned his adapted eyes to the west, where the office should be, and saw a door at the end of the old pier. "Got it..." he whispered before quietly getting the rest of the group. After explaining what he had found and how it lined up with the layout of the warehouse above, he quietly approached the door and checked it for traps and locks. (If Kurstin finds either, he will attempt to undo them with his Thieves' Tools! Investigation roll was 18; Thieves' Tools roll was 14)
