Lumen continues his assault, using his spiritual damage to slash into the mammoth. (31 damage) With his sworn enemy of the day defeated, Roc's first arrow hits a corpse. His next attack, now fueled with less vengeance, hits the mammoth mount for 23 damage. a23 turns his attention to the furry beast, dealing 20 damage in two slashes!
The mammoth mount has taken a total of 74 damage. The beast backs up 20 feet, before charging back into a23 with another gore attack!

Errona looks at the mammoth and giant and says "We do find a way to attract trouble. At least this will keep our bellies filled." Errona looks at the meaty mammoth.
The spear that the frost giant is wielding looks powerful, but is too large for any of the party members to use. Nets at the side of the mammoth would also be questionable. The meat of the mammoth would likely be able to feed the party for quite some time, though transportation could pose an issue. (ooc: This would fulfill the weekly bear maintenance requirement.)
a23 finds a tattoo on the giant, depicting what appears to be a dragon.

a23 motions the polarbears and mr fluffers to the mammoth corpse as he slices a large chunk for later. after securing a meal for his furry companions, a23 brings the partys attention to the dragon tattoo.

The party decides to enter Termalaine as it approaches dusk.
Founded by Calishite settlers who appreciated beauty, Termalaine is widely regarded as the most picturesque town in Icewind Dale, spreading out from the shore of Maer Dualdon and bordered on the north and west by tall pines. Its buildings incorporate carvings of wizards, homunculi, tigers, and smiling djinn.
For most visitors, the enchantment of the town is dispelled as soon as they feel the icy claws and teeth of the cold wind sweeping down from the north, shearing through their layers of clothing. Termalaine was built in the path of this dreadful gale, which continues well past the town to harry fishers on the southern half of the lake.
In addition to fishers, shipbuilders, and scrimshadners, Termalaine is home to miners who harvest gemstones from a cavern complex set into a low hill north and east of the settlement.
The party enters The Blue Clam dockside tavern upon Errona's suggestion.
The fishers of Termalaine typically finish their days here, seated on benches near one of the building's long hearths to warm their feet while they fill their bellies with spiced chowder. Beautiful works of scrimshaw are hung on the walls.
Vernon Braig, the Blue Clam's half-orc owner and chef, knows some of the hunters and trappers in Lonelywood, and occasionally a sled comes down the north trail with a sack of hares or a haunch of moose, courtesy of one of Vernon's friends. One those nights, the Blue Clam's hearths are full of roasting meat, and the patrons stay later and sing louder, enjoying the good times while they last.
Lumen does his best to place a Fireball where it will hit only the mammonth and rider.
