" Well, we seem to need some more help, maybe a grounding force with how some of us react to things. Maybe he can help keep us calm, and apparently, they are quite good at carrying little things. We can probably strap some healing potions to him or something. Do you have a name in mind? " Lumen chats conversing with a23 as they try to pass the time in the blizzard with the pup.
" My my, even with my beacon this is quite the whiteout. I can't see more than a few feet. I'm not sure we could get there if we tried. I hope there is nothing out in this storm. "
A blizzard's howling wind limits hearing to a range of 100 feet and imposes disadvantage on ranged weapon attack rolls. It also imposes disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing. The wind extinguishes open flames, disperses fog, erases tracks in the snow, and makes flying by nonmagical means nearly impossible. A creature falls at the end of its turn if it is flying by nonmagical means and can't hover.
Visibility in a blizzard is reduced to 30 feet. Creatures without goggles or other eye protection have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight due to blowing snow.
Any creature that is concentrating on a spell in a blizzard must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw at the end of its turn or lose its concentration on the spell unless the creature is sheltered against the elements (for example, in an igloo).
"Agreed!" Hruna shouts. "It'd be awfully easy to lose track of each other in this weather."
It would be impossible to set up camp with the snow piling up as it is. The adventurers do their best to stay huddled as the harsh winds pass them by. Their cold weather clothing prevents their body temperatures to drop enough to cause exhaustion.
Replying to Roc's inquiry, Storn finally starts to open up a bit. "A while back, a white dragon named Cryovain descended upon the northern Sword Coast. It began a relentless assault on towns, swooping down to feast on citizens at random. Phandalin was nearly destroyed en one attack. A group of adventurers from far away lands showed up to finally defeat the dragon, but not before its reign of terror caused major damage. I've only heard bits an' pieces from distant cousins, but it is no lie. And ya never know what to expect in Icewind Dale with what has been happenin' recently."
" That is quite amazing! Perhaps one of those adventurers might show up and solve some of the problems around here. Things are quite strange as of late."
"I doubt it, lad." Storn replies in response to Lumen. "I heard they all went their separate ways after that, as fast as they came. Maybe besides that Leonin from Neverwinter... Heard they took over the fortress of Axeholm after the final battle with the dragon. There was a goliath who went back to his home in the mountains, and a Tempus cleric who rose in the ranks of knighthood after defeating the foe. One mysterious elf ranger left silently without a trace... At least, that's the legend. Oh, how I wish I could have been there to meet them! ...After the dragon was gone of course..." Storn shivers. It is unclear if it is because of the blizzard or out of fear.
" A darn shame. We could certainly use some help up here, not that this is a place people come by choice usually." Lumen laughs, "I'd be more afraid of yeti's since there have been sightings."
Errona listens to the talk of hero's and other towns' plights. She does not care to interact much with the dwarves and instead tries to keep her senses as focused as possible for possible creatures taking advantage of the limited visibility..
a23 looks at his new friend trying to size up the perfect name to match his lovable personality.
”mr. fluffers. 1. because he is a gentleman of class and sophistication. and 2. because he is adorably fluffy.”
a23 gives mr. fluffers a good scratch behind the ear. he seems too preoccupied with the dog to participate in the conversation of dragins and past heroes.
The two hours pass by surprisingly quickly, fueled by Storn's sudden enthusiasm and "Mr. Fluffers"'s company. "Alright, lads. Let's get a move on."
The adventurers crest a snow-covered ridge and see a frozen, dismembered corpse in the gully in front of them. Snow covers some of the gory bits, but the headless torso and severed limbs are visible. They see tracks in the snow all around the corpse, and the telltale grooves in the snow left behind by a sled that has been hauled away."
"OOBOK!!! NOOOOOOO!!!" Hruna cries upon seeing the horrific scene. Korux and Storn shield their eyes. Hruna falls to her knees in the deep snow, sobbing uncontrollably.
Roc walks a circle around the bodies peering into the snow. He then slowly backs up and kneels down next to the headless Torso. Can Roc tell what cause the dismemberment? Blade? Teeth? Pulling?
Because of the amount of snow and ice, Roc has difficulty pinpointing exactly what did this to Oobok's body. However, recalling that the dwarves claimed that it was a yeti, he is able to assume that it was the culprit. More curiously, there are a half-dozen other tracks that are too small to belong to a yeti or dwarf; not to mention that they must be recent considering the heavy snowstorm that has just passed. These tracks, as well as that left by a now missing sled, lead to the south.
Getting closer to the fresh tracks, a23 is able to determine they match those of the snowshoes the party is wearing. Only, they are much smaller than anyone's in the group. The robot's internal sensors are quickly able to determine that they are humanoid.
Hruna continues to sob, but starts to wipe off some of her tears. "We will stay here so that we can give Oobok a proper burial. Would you be able to track down who stole our sled? It is all we had left. We have lost too much already... Oh, Oobok...!" she exclaims through her tears.Korux and Storn silently make their way towards their old friend's body before kneeling in front of it. "Voth thorv joth arzavaz...Please." Korux says to the party, speaking to them for the first time.
The heroes make their way down south, following the humanoid and sled tracks.
The creatures they've been following appear to be goblins, based on their stature. All six of them groan, grunt, and curse loudly as they haul the bulky sled toward what appears to be a twenty-foot-tall wagon parked in the snow. Harnessed to this conveyance are two roaring polar bears that don't look happy.
Surprise round!

At the start of the encounter, the characters are 120 ft behind the sled, and the goblins' wagon is 120 feet farther still.
Errona tells the group "I need a bit closer to get an accurate shot in... Unlike someone who is shooting from the previous town..." Errona glares at Roc.
Errona will stealthily move to 80 feet from the goblins, using their distraction of pulling the sled to hopefully give her cover.
Stealth 11
Now that Errona is in range, she will fire an arrow at the goblin.
Attack: 6 Damage: 11
Errona will then use her movement and bonus action ( for cunning action and dash) to move 40 feet back to Roc.
Roc looks into the snow.
"A blizzard is no place to be. I say we wait."
Roc scratches his chin.
"While we wait would you care to tell me more about what happened to the Sword Coast?"
" Well, we seem to need some more help, maybe a grounding force with how some of us react to things. Maybe he can help keep us calm, and apparently, they are quite good at carrying little things. The blizzard will last 2 hours.

he motions to the direction
Errona shrugs her shoulders and says "If only they would of gotten Roc...." before she follows a23.
Roc will have his bow at the ready. He will follow 15 feet behind the party and follow the tracks as far as his eyes can see for any sign of the Yeti.
