You make your way down and find that you can't see no further than 5ft in front of your face in the mist the ground is squishy making movement difficult much like the spell fog cloud but natural and from the latter earlier you think 10ft high.
You're pretty sure its going to be a btch to navigate and to make matters worse, after taking 20ft of movement to move ten feet one of you (or all who-knows?) slip falling on your rear accidently dragging the others down everyone becoming disoriented and covered in what you're sure is bullywug mud.
You're not sure which way is which you think you can hear the familiar sound of guard drakes snoring somewhere.
Give me what you think are appropriate skill checks involving Dex and or Wisdom with role play (cooperation) amongst yourselves or maybe a gust of wind spell too temporarily dissipate the mist. Those that don't participate may end up being left behind.
You may drag someone along if you like but It'll make the DC harder by 5 and right now its 15. Skill checks will be added up together
to move 5ft each round (please roll initiative to keep track).
Oh, and there are two simple ways to avoid this skill exercise but you'll have to figure that out.
With a passive wisdom of 16 Azzure figures that he can carry Wyldfyre piggy back and she can see all of you make it towards the other side Runvail some how finds a piece of parchment with the word scissor written upon it and gives it to Wyldyre
As you come near the other side the fog is only 3ft high. You see the Elf you've seen before he hasn't noticed you coming towards him.
He mutters something.
And disappears with a glow of 20ft radius circle under the fog
Rudy flits in, "Oh I know what that is its a teleportation circle." he rides on his favorite mages shoulder as you investigate
Runvail says Scissor and everyone gets the star-trek transporter experience finding themselves in a cavern that has roof of 50ft up and a hundred feet wide. Huge redwoods grow here each with a mirrored pool of water on the south side of the tree a fissure in the roof lets in sunlight
there are foot prints that make a trail each leading from a pool heading north. You're at one of the pools as you look in the water and see the cavern you were at before.
Ok I'm going to recruit two more folk to carry on using this place as a Segway. Or we can start at the beginning and I can run the full module with new characters
Using your old stats placed where you want them to be.
Or another choice run a different Module
The final one is of course ending the adventure but Wyldfyre and Azzure seem to work well together.
(I'd be interested, whichever direction, but will be very limited on time until the end of the year. Work is mandatory 6 days a week and running anywhere from 10-14 hours a day.)

Welcome to the Emporium of Mayhem! What sort of mischief do you seek today? Pyromaniac Wyldfyre searching for her place in the world.
Well if we’re agreeing on less posts requirement per week that will work for me. As long as it’s an agreement from the outset, I don’t mind using a character slot for a long-view pbp game.
After journeying thru the swamp. And witnessing the chaos a group of adventurers caused at Castle Naerytar You followed them to the dungeon below without them knowing till now. In a fog covered cavern you hear the word Scissor and a circle that glows in front of you watching the adventurers disappear your insight tells that you should join them.
" Wait! " Kathryn tries to catch up with the Adventurers but she can't make it in time. The elf ranger stands in front of the magic circle, stunned. Returning to High Forest empty handed isn't an option. And she can't leave the Cult of the Dragon keeps wreaking havoc and destroying innocent lives. Looking back to her companion, Kathryn says. " Let's go, Duhlgar" Then she steps into the circle and utters the word, Scissor.
Azurre, Wyldfyre as you stand alone in this forest of worlds stunned that the members of you party didn't make it here. A mystical chime sounds and a glow comes from the well you just left and a (put gender here, please complete your description on your sheet Kathryn) Wood elf appears
Kathryn of the group you were tracking only two remain though together they are quite colorful. a Blue Dragonborn and a comely redheaded woman Description of the place is above.
(waiting on Drakehood whom is still on the other side. To post movement Role play and say the magic word it ain't please)
A small globe of fire appears in each hand of the human girl, reflecting brightly in her eyes, as she drops into a defensive crouch facing the newcomer, "who are you, and what is your business here?"
Kathryn of the group you were tracking only two remain though together they are quite colorful. a Blue Dragonborn and a comely redheaded woman Description of the place is above.
(At still only 15, she is more of a teenager than a woman, but ...)

Appears from the well is a tall and slender figure with a dark green cloak. Their face is hidden by the hood and mask. " Fear not young heroes. For I am not your enemy. " Says the stranger with a soft woman's voice. She kneels on the ground, shows her empty hand and puts them together. If someone knows elven culture well, they will immediately find it is a sign of peace that is used among wood elves. " I am Kathryn Hazeleyes. The Night Ranger of High Forest. When the Cult of the Dragon started their onslaught, our elders sent me to investigate their intention, and if possible the way to stop them. And I found you. I have tracked your steps, I know your deeds. Please allow me to join your company. I will be your shadow, your bow and your arrow. "
Duhlgar watches Kathryn vanish and moves forward looking at the circle and says the word he heard them all say "Scissors!"
Appearing from the well you see a well armored dwarf step out his long brown hair and beard tightly braided. His skinned is very tanned and his eyes are an unusual light grey "Ah there you are lass, I always hate magical teleportation" He walks over to stand next to his taller companion. "Ye may call me Duhlgar. That was quite the sight back there, not somethin you see everyday "
The Dragonborn looks at his companions then a flash of alarm, as he pats himself - his face, chest, and groin - and sighs in relief as they introduce themselves, though a bit confused. “Phew. Hi I’m Azurre. For a minute there I thought, well never mind. Where in blazes are we now?”
In a cavern that has roof of 50ft up and a hundred feet wide. Huge redwoods grow here each with a mirrored pool of water on the south side of the tree a fissure in the roof lets in sunlight
There are foot prints that make a trail each leading from a pool heading north. You're at one of the pools as you look in the water and see the cavern you were at before.
"Now there's a thing you dn't see everyday, trees growin underground" Dhulgar will walk up to one to see if they are actually tress and not some carving
Real trees 10ft wide each and 40ft tall a mirrored pool at the bottom of each. Its strangely quiet here. The calmness almost makes you want to sleep forever even if you were an elf.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
" Duhlgar! You made it! I was worried about you. If I know the portal sends the user to a random place, I would not have asked you to follow me! " Kathryn's face lights up with delight when she sees her friend pop out from the well. " He is my friend,Duhlgar. A good inventor. Though there is some disagreement about industry and technology between us. I am confident that his knowledge and keen mind will be great help for your journey"
Kathryn walks to the redwoods and touches their bark. " This is … an unnatural sight. I have never seen something like this before." The ranger investigates the strange wood and compares it to the knowledge elders taught her. Then she starts to track the footprints to the north

Nature:25( for the red wood)
Survival: 12(for investigating the foot prints. Checking their numbers, race and equipment (weight))
The bark is not unlike a pine trees bark the forest is a forest but no wind the ground cover is a dark green moss. Rudy a magpie sitting on the redheads shoulder sleeps soundly his head nestled in Wyldfyre's hair where he was awake and talking in the cave. The tree though it's needles are a deep dark green seems to be slumbering dormant sleep due to the colder than usual feel of the bark.
As said before you find the tracks most human and a few drake type creatures (like guard drakes) the foot prints lead from the pool make a trail heading north. So even with a bad roll you can follow them. You notice they are made in haste though. Not far from the second tree you find a mummified peatbog style body of an gnome. a layer of pine like needles on top of his cloak wrapped around him and no damage done to him. It looks like he just laid down and slept forever.
Azzure will lend help for that, checking about for any lurking creatures, bullywugs or other.
