You're able to maintain concentration on Doru. You feel a pulse tugging you when you concentrate on him to the north east and getting further away. Your rapier swishes through thin air (B5 is currently in Everlie's square, so your attack would be at disadvantage - in another game your natural 1 would have actually meant you hit Everlie for whatever damage you rolled, but I believe this group did not want crits ;)
[Okay, sorry for the delay. Schools coming back and then we get a email saying it's going to be online so lots of "really fun" prep to do! yay!]
Two swarms of bats - B4 and B5 - flap towards you Everlie and will try to bite you. B5gets to the space under you, which is occupied by Erven.. B4 attack on Everlie: Attack: 22Damage:7. B5 attack on Erven: Attack: 18Damage:3.
The unknown figure strides confidently and calmly towards Doru, frowning slightly as he takes in the burned spawn. As he does, he begins a light chant waving his arms and making unfamiliar, very quick finger movements. As he stops at Doru, he reaches out and touches the creature and Doru disappears from sight!
The well dressed figure steps back 5 feet, is at the corner of the building. It looks at all of you. "He's mine," it says, smiling again and shrugging slightly. "Not for you."
Dorutakes their action. You can hear his feet scratching on the stairs and then the closest of you see the indentations on the grass. Then nothing.
Not really. Erven feels a direction but you don’t know that. Those closest saw / heard him jump off the stairs and run away. But the heat of battle the sound of the bats, there is no good way to tell - other than away from you somewhere. Like you would have seen the figure approach Doru touch him and then him disappear. After that impossible from where you are to know.
I should add: So long story short, Doru is - at the very least - invisibility
@Sho - B2are dead via Talion but I'll take it to mean you will attack B6 instead. It's a hit, as you whip snaps a few tiny creatures in half, raining down pellets of blood and goo with their bodies.
B4 - continues to attack Everlie: Attack:11Damage:4 piercing damage B5 - continues to attack Erven: Attack:18Damage:4 piercing damage
?- the strange humanoid moves in a southerly fashion, and stops 3 squares south of B1. Smiling the whole while, the soft, lilting voice murmurs strange syllables and the hands roll slightly at Bertolt, Sho, and Talion, and Erven. The 4 of you can make a wisdom save please - sorry, Sho you don't have to. But the other 3 do.
Erven if it hits you, throw a concentration check out here. If it doesn't hit you, you feel Doru grow more and more distant...
@Erven - the bats connect and you take the damage above. Roll a concentrationcheck to see if you can keep up Hunter's Mark. If you do, you'll sense him getting further and further away, to the north.
The strange figure finishes casting his spell. He frowns slightly at Sho and Erven, as they seemingly do not react to this particular spell. The humanoid grins as he moves back to his original location and says, "Hmm, interesting indeed. Now, warlock and bard, why don't you go find something else to do for a while? Perhaps grab a drink at the inn? Your friends here will be fine."[you act on this request during your turn]. Then he looks northwards, adding, "He's new and doesn't know he can just bite you without showing himself. Haha, I remember those days..." He looks thoughtful as if remembering some long ago dream...
Bertolt and Everlie, you're up! (Everlie, you still are harrassed by the bats, as is Erven).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ducking and dodging the bats, Everlie decides they're mainly a distraction and not the real threat. He tries to ignore them for a moment, surveying the field of battle until his eyes finally fall upon the Stranger who seems to be controlling the flying vermin.
"Hello friend!" Everlie calls outs and, using the Wild Magic feature he gained from raging, chucks his Greatsword at the stranger. The barbarian then instinctively reaches to his waist to grab a hand axe intending to take a wild swing at the bats as well but quickly remembers he ran out the door less than fully prepared and there is no hand axe there. Instead Everlie moves toward the stranger to try to get into melee range (up to 30') and ignores any attacks the bats may make.
Greatsword Attack: 8 Damage: 9
After the sword flies wide, it disappears and reappears in Everlie's hands at the end of his turn...
Magic infuses one weapon of your choice that you are holding. Until your rage ends, the weapon’s damage type changes to force, and it gains the light and thrown properties, with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. If the weapon leaves your hand, the weapon reappears in your hand at the end of the current turn.

Erven, your connection to Doru via Hunter's Mark ends. The last pulse you felt was from somewhere northwest of the church.
The stranger smiles as it leans out of the way of your greatsword, comically watching it whizz by. You can make it to the stranger no problem. The bat swarm on you (B4) attacks as you move away: Attack:9Damage:4.
You're now in melee range with the stranger (I put you between S and B1, at the corner of the building. Let me know if you'd rather be somewhere else).
As Everlie moves up into melee with this stranger, the smile turns to a bit of a smirk, and it hauls back and tries to slap Everlie, "You dare?!?!" Unarmed strike: Attack: 27Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.. On a hit, you take an additional 21 necrotic damage.

Ok. Wanted to make sure if he is hidden or if he is just invisible. Do we know which direction we had heard him go last?
Not really. Erven feels a direction but you don’t know that. Those closest saw / heard him jump off the stairs and run away. "He got away." Sho says to others, with hidden frustration. He redirects his attention to the bats and swings his whip towards the cloud of wings.
Attack (B2): 11 Damage: 3
