@Talion Your second attempt to wrest the weapon from the gauntlet ends much like the first, with armor clanking on the hardwood floor and causing echoes to reverberate through the house.
@all With Talion's mage hand creating a lot of noise, nothing jumps out at you or anything, but you get the increasing feeling of someone or something watching you - something scornful and condescending. This thought is confirmed as you hear a deep laughter echoing faintly and the sound of clapping... "Bravo, oh yes, well done, well done..." is heard faintly before silence resumes....
@Bertolt - ready to take the last weapon? Roll a DEX or STR for me if you are.
Talion looks around when he hears the disembodied voice. Hah! I hope we're annoying him and much as he's annoying us.
When the last weapon is retrieved, he looks back to Bert. "Nothing for it I guess..." and moves into the room, to pick up the scabbard and examine the armour more closely in case there are other things he might be able to use.
@Talion As you look around the now-cluttered room, you don't see anything in the armor that would help you. The armor itself was mounted on wooden frames and there isn't any cloth or leather that you could use as armor. There are some buckles and leather straps you could salvage, but in doing so, you would disable the wearability of the plate armor.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bertolt winces at all the noise they are making, letting out a calming with before he slowly begins to direct his Mage Hand once more. This time he moves it slowly as he attempts to grab a weapon once more.

Despite trying to be careful, Bertolt again causes a suit of plate armor to fall and crash to the floor. BUT you have all the weapons they formerly held, so that's something! [dole out the goods if you like, including any armor you take, make sure they're on your sheet and don't exceed your encumbrance]
So, there is a small door to the north-east, a door to the north, and a door to the south. Listening in this room, you can hear footsteps and whispers and creaking floorboards - but nothing presents itself visibly...
What would the party like to do next, including anything you want to do in this room? [I think the rest of you are still probably cringing in anxiety down the stairs a ways, lol]
Bertolt sighs once more and let's the weapon be set on the floor near the first one. We will let his magic fade, once more taking up his Hand crossbow. "Next time I think I will simply grab it myself...."
Waiting down the stairs and hearing the loud clanking sounds as sharp metals struck onto the floor and on each other echoing in the house, Sho lets out a barely audible sigh - the whole house certainty knows they are all here now if it hasn't known already. He walks up, glancing the weapons laid out on the floor, and picks up a spear. "Yes," he agrees, "I would not call that 'subtle'."
Erven picks up one of the shields. He also picks up a longsword and turns to Onyx - - "I think I would do better with that (he points to the short sword) and you would do better with this longsword. Trade?"
Erven smiles and turns to the rest of the group, and says "I don't want to be accused of being a weapon hoarder." He braces himself for whatever comes next.
((OOC : let me know if that trade is not ok, I am going to equip short sword.))

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Onyx doesn't care much for privacy - not that he is stripping all the way down, of course. He nods and accepts the trade as he meticulously dons the armor. The longsword felt good in his hands, the armor felt good too. He felt a little more secure with full plate gauntlets covering his arms, too. It wasn't a perfect fit, but it would do for now.
"Well, I think I've held us up long enough. Lead the way, but get behind me if you need to."

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
As he waits for Onyn to change, Talion goes down stairs to the wolf room, and picks up the big chest, half-dragging, half-carrying it back up the stairs. When he finally returns with it to the armour room, he gives his companions a sheepish grin. "Waste not, want not."
He tries to put a complete set of armour in the chest or, failing that, on top of it, then check to see if he is capable of lifting it, and winks at Erven, his fellow hoarder.
Erven nods and lets Onyx take point. "I think we have made enough noise for this whole house to know that we are here. I think we are being watched by an entity that very much knows our every move. I'm fine with letting you lead Onyx, you are the best warrior of all of us. Even though you now sound like clank, clank, clank, clank."

Sho gives Talion a weird look as he awkwardly dragging the chest up the stairs, and then later his clumsy act of trying to fit the armor inside the chest, but refrains himself from commenting. He would've agreed it to be a good idea, decent full plates are hard to come by, if not for the current predicament they are in. But he would have to applaud for the man's perseverance nonetheless. He goes up the stairs as Onyx finishes changing, equipping the other shield on his arm and glancing at the three doors around them.
When he is satisfied, Talion looks around at the mess they have made and shrugs, "We didn't break anything...and our host knew we were here from the minute we woke up on the mist, I think. It's as if..." he looks at each of his companions, considering the roles they each play, and how well they have worked together so far, "...it's as if we are in some mummers play, and I for one will play my part as I see fit."
He pats the chest, and stands up. "Lead on" he says, looking from Erven to Onyx and back.
"Onyx perhaps you should open the ornate doors. I would like to open this smaller door, imagine it is a coat closet or something." Erven opens the small door by the stairs.

Erven opens the small door to find a small, rather narrow room with two beds within. They have been made and the room is tidy. At the foot of each bed is a chest. To the left of the room's entrance is a door standing ajar - inside you can see clean servants' uniforms hanging on hooks. To the right stands the dumbwaiter and there is a button on the wall next to it.
You all wince and stare at Talion as he drags and carries the chest up from downstairs. It is quite awkward to carry fully, as the plate and chest alone weigh about 100 lbs/45 kg. If you carry it, you are encumbered. You can drag it certainly but you suffer disadvantage on any stealth rolls you need to make.
@Talion You don't notice any traps so you open them up. Together, they contain the following items:6 rations of dried meat, water skins, 2 x mess kit, tinderbox, torches, ink and paper, traveling clothes (2 sets), a small vial of perfume, 50 feet of rope, a hammer and some nails, 3 x wooden stakes, and a hunting trap.

Talion eyes the armour speculatively, "That would fetch a pretty penny" he says. "If anyone wants it, speak up before we go further..."

Talion smiles happily at the chest, "Good to bring it with us" he says, "you never know who might come along and steal it".
Looking at the room Erven has opened up, he compares the chest sizes, then examines the chests at the foot of each bed for traps, contents etc.
