As the group makes their way to the dock Druquilla has a small bounce in her step and a smile on her face happy to finally be going back to sea, but all that comes crashing down after hearing the Tabaxi. Druquilla turns to him the fury of a raging storm within her eyes staring at the one thing keeping her from the sea as she asks through gritted teeth, "Explain."
"We got ours from Zarod of the Adventurers' Guild," Mist squints up at the man with jaw jutted in defiance. "Now, unless you're suggesting spurious actions on his part or that of the Guild, I'd suggest you reexamine your own sources and intentions." He pokes a finger into the tabaxi's chest to punctuate his final inflection.
Kraven will move back to stand beside Gintarou and then whisper up to him what he knows of the creature. filling him in on what he knows and suggesting the evil cat is probably up to no good.
(OOG- Sorry about the lack of posting Friday was a busier day than I had originally planned and yesterday was sectionals for my boys, we Qed 4 for state.)
Jarin looks to you both and says “Well I’m not sure who to believe, in this case. Who ever is the true owner of the ship will need to get Hal to come on down here so he can confirm who to give the deed to.”
The Tabaxi starts to argee “Jarin, how long…” bit Jarin cuts him off. “Catapult I’m not listing to any of you, Hal is most likely getting drunk and the ‘Fish out of Water’ go get him and bring him to me if your writ is real, otherwise go find a new scam. Catapult takes off to the tavern ‘Fish out of Water’.
Cendrail looks to you all, “Well you all go get it, this is guild business so I will wait here.”
(Any of you who have spent time on the seas and made port here would know ‘Fish out of Water’ the tavern is one of the 3 most frequented taverns by the docks.
"I suppose one of us should make for the Guild Hall and bring Zarod since he's the one what made this deal," Mist sprints off back that way since he isn't a sailor and doesn't know the docks well enough to navigate to the tavern.
"Then I'll go to the tavern. I'm no sailor but ‘Fish out of Water’ was the first tavern I dined at when I arrived in this country. And their fish and chips are really good. If someone wants morning snacks tell me now." Gintarou asks his friends as he heads to the tavern.
Who ever walks into the 'Fish out of Water' you walk in and the tavern does not look super busy, but then you think about the fact that this is between breakfast and lunch, and that most places would have 1 or 2 tables with people at it, compared to have only a few tables empty. Someone asks the barkeep and owner, Alwel, a somewhat young elvish woman, her skin is pale with a sea green hint to it, her hair is in dreadlocks, a great axe hanging over the bar. You ask Alwel about a man named Hal, she points to a human man with tan skin, a mess of brown hair, his mustache is framed by a well over 5o clock shadow. His head is down on the table with about 5 or 6 mostly empty mugs in front of him. When you get to him there is a puddle of drool at his mouth.
Mist before taking off someone points out to you that the Writ is to the guild not a specific person.
"I'll join you," Druquilla states. "It has been some time since I have been to the 'Fish'."
Once they enter the 'Fish out of Water' Druquilla goes up to the bar and waves down Alwel, "Hey Alwel been awhile, we are looking for a man by the name of Hal you seen him?" After Alwel points out Hal Druquilla gives her thanks and leaves a gold coin on the bar. Druquilla walks up to the table Hal is sleeping at and kicks the chair to try to shake him awake, "Wake up! We have a problem and you are the only one that can solve it."
(While the writ is for the Guild, it sounded like Zarod made the deal with Hal. If we need to make sure Hal doesn't welch on the deal, it seems prudent to put him face-to-face with the man he dealt with...who has the force of the Guild backing him. But if that wouldn't make sense in the context for one reason or another, Mist will tag along and eat.)
"Hey morning Alwel, how's everything?" Raising his hand and greeting the owner, Gintarou goes straight to order some food and drinks. "Well… if that guy doesn't awake, guess it's my job to carry him to the ship. Better eat something before that…"
Mist it is up to you, I just wanted to make sure that you knew the facts, if you wish to go and get Zarod that is fine, knowing that it has the guild name on it if Mist would go with to the 'Fish out of Water' then that is also fine.
Hal starts to move a little from Druquilla, then when his chair is kicked he sits up and to the side, falling out of his chair, stumbling to his feet, he drops his axe off his belt and into his hand, "WHAT do yee want?" he is now is a somewhat stumbled uneven defensive stance

"Good day, Hal. I'm Zandeyr, the musician. I've played here afore. Ye might've heard of-- ah well, anyway, seems there's a disagreement. We're with he guild, and we aim to take custody of yer ship. We'll take right good care of her, we will. But we need you to verify that you sold her to the guild."

"Madmazel please you explain, I have the true writ, where did you get yours?"

(I'm going to bank on the group not getting into combat in a mostly empty tavern and try to get Zarod back as quickly as Mist can.)
