"Alwel a round of drinks!" Hal picks up his chair and sits down. "Sit friends, have a drink then we can go and get you the Castle." You can see a hint of remorse in his face.
Druquilla remains standing and crosses her arms, "Something tells me it won't be that easy. There is a flamboyant feline out there claiming the Castle is his, is there any truth in that statement?"
"Catapult!? No way. He makes a great crewmen, but has terrible luck as a Capitan. The guildman I spoke with seemed a little over excited about buying the ship, do you mind me asking what your after and how your crewing the ship?
"We are looking for a certain artifact. Sorry I can't tell you what it is. Because it's about our client's private life. You can ask him if you come with us. And about crewing, I'm a no sailor so I know nothing about it. I assumed that the guild has employed your former crew" Gintarou carefully sits on a chair so as to not break it (He has already broken two of them) and puts his dwarf size ale mag on the table."… You really love your ship don't you?" Says the giant sympathetically.
If Catalpult is just standing there, Kraven will start to get bored and look around for anything/anyone else in the area as he doe snot like to stay in one place out in the open inside the city for very long.
"Big fello I hope that crew thing is not the truth, my crew left when we got back to port last, they wanted little to do with me at that time. And the Castle, she was my castle, it killed me letting her go." Hal stops talking to take a big drink from his mug. "If... if you'll have me, seeing as I need to go to the docks to straighten out this whole writ thing, I could come with and help you at sea."
Kraven looks around for Catapult confused as he was keeping an eye on the creature while the others went to the inn. He shrugs and continues to look around the docks for anything out of the ordinary.
[OOC: I stated previously that I was staying at the docks to keep an eye on Catapult, did he go poof?]
Gintarou listens to the story of Hal as he eats his fish fries."…Humm, that actually does not sound bad. Guys what do you think? Most of us aren't sailors. We don't know how to move a ship let alone how to sail in the sea. Employing him would save a lot of our time and effort." Gintarou asks his friends. Thenhe pushed his food to the poor man. "Eat some my friend. Drinking with an empty stomach will hurt your body. We will need a healthy and tough sailor."
Hal takes a few bits of the food, before finishing his food, and stands up, "Well is there anything else?" I will wait on 2 more people to say good to go and we will move forward with getting back to the docks.
Druquilla's stance softens after listening to Hal, "You know the Castle best I see no reason not to have you stay on as captain, and I have been looking for a ship to join for a few weeks now so if you will have me I would be happy join. I am a fisher by trade but I have crewed a few different types of vessels."
Druquilla reaches down and steals a bit of the food off Gintarou's plate, "Lets get back to the dock so we can gather everyone up and set sail."
The main group arrives at the docks with Hal and the writ, Hal speaks with the Jarin who then pulls the deed to "The Last Castle" and hands it to one of you.
Cendrail comes over to you all while Hal is talking with Jarin, he listens for a bit then spits in Hal's general direction.
Once the deed is handed over to you all Mist and Zarod get to the dock masters tent. Zarod adjusts one bracer, and has a Battle axe over his shoulder. Showing Zarod that you have the deed, he is getting ready to talk with you all before setting sail. But...
The last thing that happens in this short time span. As you all turn to start talking 3 groups of people walk at you with weapons drawn, 3 people from the left, 3 more from the right and 1 last person from in front of you all. They are all dressed in a similar fashion, wearing heavy coats lined with fur, all of them have thicker hair.
The man in front of you speaks “We are here for the compass, hand it over and no one gets hurt.” One thing that you all do notice is that the man speaking has a thicker accent that is similar to Hal’s.
Cendrail spits at the feet of the man who looks to be leading this group. And Hal speaks up before anyone else can “The Black Rift has no authority here, now move out of our way.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kraven squawks loudly at his annoyance of not seeing the people approach and then leaps into the air drawing his bow and shooting at the gruff one who spoke.
Shortbow: Attack: 18 Damage: 7
Sneak Attack if I get it: 3
Will try and fly back into the rigging of a nearby ship or try and gain some cover above the group.
Kraven's shot goes wide as he is trying to make such quick actions. You are at the shore side of the docks so there are no ships close by, however, the dock master's tent is at such an angle that you can gain some cover. Combat has started, as a reminder on how we handle combat in my game everyone takes their actions, I am willing to adjust order of what happens to benefit you players. Once everyone has gone or 24+hours later I will take the turns of the NPCs and Monsters.(in this case Zarod and the Black Rift)
