The Griffon bursts free, and assumes a deffensive stance. He looks around at, and lets out a chearping roar, then at Kraven's words, he flys to the edge of the cliff, and sweeps down to where the nest was at.
((Correct so far we have only taken a short rest, else Druquilla would have all her spells back.))
After watching the griffon take flight Druquilla walks up to Gintarou, "Well that went far better than I was expecting with our luck, let's get this last statue cured and get our feet back on solid ground."
"… We have good news and bad news. " Gintarou answers Selka "Bad news is that we couldn't save all the hostages. There are some people killed. You better don't know how they died. It was a nasty story. Good news is that… aside from the casualties, most of them are safe. There is no serious damage to my party either. Except… " The warrior opens his mouth and shows the chipped teeth. " A few teeth."
"The cause?!" Mist scoffs. "It's 'cause children spend too much blasted time with bedtime stories and fanciful fables, not to mention the inherent evils of the theater! Developin' overblown ideals of love and loss, trials and tribulations, desperation and drama. They all think the world's a stage and want to play out their epic fantasies as if their very lives didn't hinge on a roll of the dice!"
He's completely oblivious to any reactions to his walking around and gesticulating wildly with Freb's large, gaseous frame. He takes a breath and sighs heavily before continuing.
"Everyone seekin' power to get what they want... What they don't realize is that it's all folly and always ends in tragedy."
A thought seems to occur to him and he visibly perks up.
"But hey, we've ended the threat and brought back those we could so rejoice! Our own favorite overachiever came through and saw to it that his worshipers can continue with... uh... whatever it is we do! The Foursman did ask me to let you all know that he likes your little... um... pilgrimages and wants you to continue with them. He said it gets kinda crowded up there on the ethereal plane sometimes so he won't be able to bring you with him every time you make the trip but he'll definitely take you for a ride as soon as there's room for more. Just gotta be diligent and vigilant... and... uh... keep a regular schedule so he knows when to meet you up there!"
Mist pats Selka's shoulder with Freb's moist mitt and says, "You're doin' great. Just uh... keep up the good work," before wandering a few paces to start looking around for something to drink.
Aubric wanders over to Mist and will speak softly to him "That was amazingly kind what you just said to them back there. You have truly amazed me this day."
"Eh? That? Bunch o' hogwash," Mist chuckles. "Just didn't want monster stories spreadin' 'round 'bout ol' Kolganra. Misguided as he was, truth be told, I'm a sucker for a tragic love story and don't want the end to be soured." He leans in and whispers, "Plus, the thought of them crackpots continuin' to trek up and down that gigantic mountain all the time, hopin' for somethin' as ridiculous as bein' picked up and taken to the astral plane will have me laughin' for ages!" He slaps a thigh and doubles over giggling to himself. The action made all the more odd because it's Freb's huge form doing it...
Louder, he says, "Now who's a man gotta kill to get a drink on this rock?"
You find out that there is no drink on the island at all but there is an old ship that is anchored of the island that serves as a tavern.
You are also give -2 platinum 24×10 gold, 43 silver and 45 copper
After you start to walk off, we'll out of ear shot, you see a shadow fly down, and then she lands, Aurora the red dragon from when youngest arrived. There is screams that initially come from behind you but after a panicked even everyone seems to have calmed down or hidden properly.
She let's out a long sigh, trying to sound board. "And do you get everything done? What have you for me?"
(… Oh crap. ) Gintarou swears in his head. He was thinking of discussing with others about the dragon princess and how to dodge her taxation in the tavern. But the young dragon appears far faster than he thought. " Well … it wasn't bad. None of us was badly injured or died. And we got some offering for you, of course..." Thewarrior pokes Mist with his toe. His head is totally blank, he doesn't know what to say.
Kraven steps forward without thinking and speaks up, feathers rustled, looking around to see just how many townsfolk might be around. "Obviously you have been watching, do you not care what happens to your subjects? Or do you enjoy just watching them climb a mountain to their doom? Did you enjoy watching them encounter the cyclops on top and see him turn them into stone and then destroy them, or did you just not care? As they are beneath you. We had little effort taking down the cyclops but you could have taken him down with ease? I can not understand those in power who say they care for their people but then just sit back and watch the misery unfold below them. At the moment I am so displeased with those like you I just want to board my ship and sail away hoping to never return."
Kraven looks around realizing what he just said and takes a step back a look of concern washing over his face but then attempts to hide the slight shake in his body at what was said and to who it was said to.
Gintarou turns pale when he hears what Kraven said. The warrior stands between the Aarakocra and the dragon, whispering to his little feathered friend. " Chill out! If the princess gets cranky, we will all die. You can't fight with a dragon! " Not in a place where they can fly and rain death from above. He adds in his head.
@Aurora
Gintarou kneels down and bows so low that his head almost touches the ground. " Please forgive my friend's rudeness, your highness. We are all tired from the long climbing and exhausted by the battle with the Cyclops. I want to show you our loot, beautiful one. But… can't we do it in a more secured place. There are treasures so rare and precious that I don't want to draw unnecessary attention to. " Gintarou's clothes is wetted by sweat. All he can do now is buy time and hope his friends will find some clever way to convince the dragon princess.
(Gintarou gives Help Action to someone who will make a Charisma base check.)
Druquilla steps up arms crossed annoyed at Gintarou's groveling, "Gintarou get off your knees, our fine feathered friend is right about this." Her gaze turns to the dragon, "Either you did not know about the cyclops and what he was doing, or you did not care. Either you are an idiot, or you are neglectful, and given you are a dragon I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say you are just neglectful not stupid. Do you just see the people of this port as just walking coin purses? Or nothing more than just snacks waiting to be eaten? Why anyone comes to this place is a question beyond even the gods to answer."
Mist hears the commotion behind him and returns to the group. He holds back at Gintarou's prompt as his mind reels, trying to strategize. At the mention of "rare and precious" treasures, he blinks slowly and, as anyone watching closely enough would see, rolls his eyes before opening them again.
The cloud-based halfling clears his throat and says, "Beggin' everyone's pardon, but I think we're all gettin' a little off track with our assessment of the situation. Aurora here is no benevolent ruler of the travelers, treasure hunters, & traders on this island nor is she under any obligation to protect or mind them beyond that with which she's been tasked. She's a dragon, if you hadn't noticed, and simply her mother's emissary in keepin' appropriate tributes flowin'."
He looks around at the group. "Unless one o' youse want to challenge that mandate (which, as a reminder, not only has she shown us nothin' but kindness thus far in roastin' our opposition while sparin' us, but such a challenge would inevitably lead to a confrontation with her mother... assumin' we made it off the island at all), let's show at least some measure of deference and pay our fair share."
Turning to the dragon, he steps forward and inclines his head.
"Apologies for my compatriots, here. We're all bushed an' hungry an' irritable an' whatnot. We didn't find much at the top but a few scattered coins and potions, which we'd be happy to share if it's worth your time in the first place. Kolganra was a bit of a shut-in and didn't exactly collect hoards of wealth. The only other things of note were discoverin' a griffon's nest, stopping the cyclops from capturin' and killin' more travelers, as well as creatin' an undead abomination of stone and cold cuts, but that's another story... But speakin' of stories!" A light glimmers in his eye and he raises a finger. "We brought back his journal! It holds epic tales of unique giant kin strugglin' t' help their communities evolve an' the punishment imparted for such a dastardly act, followed by love lost, a descent into madness, and the craziest scheme I've ever witnessed! Truly an irreplaceable prize worthy of one such as the great Lady Lux!"
Aubric has been studying the potions they created and finally joins the group. "We are releasing the griffon? Are we sure that is a wise thing to do?"
Kraven pauses at Aubric's words, "Not letting anyone be held captive, freeing creature. Stay hidden and you will be safe."
The Griffon bursts free, and assumes a deffensive stance. He looks around at, and lets out a chearping roar, then at Kraven's words, he flys to the edge of the cliff, and sweeps down to where the nest was at.

Krvaen will silently fly to the edge and look over to make sure everything is right and then move back to the group, "Job done, ready to go."
[OOC: Did we already take our Long Rest or did we just take a short rest before we started releasing the stoned people.]
(short rest I believe)
((Correct so far we have only taken a short rest, else Druquilla would have all her spells back.))
After watching the griffon take flight Druquilla walks up to Gintarou, "Well that went far better than I was expecting with our luck, let's get this last statue cured and get our feet back on solid ground."
"Hear, hear!" Mist shouts as he stamps his little foot in midair; Freb's nebulous nadir mimics the motion on the actual floor.

Sorry for the delay in posting and I will skip the down ward climb because of it.
You get back to Tidewatch and Selka is waiting as you approach as if someone spotted you and she knew you were on your way back down.
"Well hello everyone, how was the trip up?" Selka is stiff and ready for any news given to her.
