Jecob was a bit confused about the right course of action, since some of the crew suggested not attacking everything they see. But it seems like there is a consensus to put down the non-blacksmith skeletons.

As the second skeleton falls from Varlan's attack 2 more walk into their place, and Jecon turns one of the new 2 into dust, as yet another comes into the hall. The second new one comes into an attack from Kuatho, the second punch misses but the kick sends the bones flying into the wall.

Glurm leads the way down the hall that Kuatho tried to go down. As you move you hear more sloshing, you feel the floors become softer, and slicker.
After a turn there is a 35 foot hall before it turns again, and you see 2 more skeletons come around the corner, one turned and moaned "Living."
