The icon is of the Tymora, goddess of good fortune. It's a common deity that people in the Faerun. Though... with Komos' extremely keen investigative skills, he notices something not quite right about the statue. Parts of the stone icon look warped, as if it grew into these new features. The goddess is frowning which is not common for the standard icons of her. The frown also seem just barely longer than is natural. The hair is slightly tube-like. There is a decay of the stone around the feet.
Komos tries to pick the rickety door. It opens without issue. Inside, the party finds a dark store room. It houses various materials needed to run a restaurant. They haven't spoiled yet, which is yet another clue to suggest that the strange disappearance of the people in town has not been going on for very long. Finally, the strange thing about the store room is that given its size, and shape, it should be overlapping the strange room but that is impossible. Another layer of strangeness on the already strange room.
The party gains: 187 XP each from investigating the upper floors thoroughly.
"Let's go down, I want to check on my blood on the wall," Varn says after he sees there's not much of interest in the last room. Then, he goes down and does exactly that - looking for the blood he smeared on the wall.
You head down to check the wall. There is no blood stain on it but why should there be? You never put any blood over there. So really there is nothing odd about the wall. It is as you left it.
((OOC: *A very high pitched, slow on the first syllable then quickly through the rest Interesting*))
Varn shakes his head. "Come on!" He calls to the others. "What are you waiting for? Let's go already!" It seems that, if he went downstairs, that must mean he was heading outside, and he wondered why the others didn't immediately follow after.
Sniv frowns. They had finished exploring the upstairs, but that didn't mean that they were leaving. He quickly follows Varn downstairs, however, and says, "Aren't we going to finish checking out the bottom floor as well? Or did you have something else in mind?"
(OOC: I can't remember if we already checked the bottom floor or not, but I don't think we fully explored it.)

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
The bottom floor has a large room decorated with many tables and chairs which make up the main part of the restaurant. Some of the tables still have dirty plates on them. There is a counter for accepting payment. Then there's the door to the kitchen. It's in the kitchen you fought the boss monster. The kitchen has another door that leads outside, which is the back door. The main door is in the main restaurant area.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sniv moves over to the counter where the payments are collected and starts rooting around to see if he can find the place where money is stored. There may not be anyone to use it within this town, but a coin is a coin. He gives himself some guidance as he searches.
Sniv finds a bunch of coins in the place where the cash is kept. He takes a small pile of coins of various values totaling about 2 GP. However he gets the feeling that these coins would be useless for the foreseeable future. However at the far back of it he finds a strange silver coin. Unlike all the others, this one is minted with an eye symbol. Stranger still, is that it is warm to the touch. ((OOC: Using platinum coins in the character sheet to represent these coins. Do not convert them to gold value))
Sniv smiles when he sees the strange silver coin. The warmth surprises him a little, but it is clearly magical in some way, or so Sniv thinks to himself. Deciding to show the people that are skilled in arcane magic, Sniv quickly rushes the coin over to his companions where he hands them the currency and asks, "I found this strange thing behind the counter. It looks like a normal coin, but it's warm."
(OOC: Would Sniv remember that Varn had made a marking using blood on the wall? He wouldn't be looking for it specifically, but if he saw the wall without blood, and he remembered, Sniv would definitely point it out.)

Varn puts his hand on the coin to check if it's truly warm. "Maybe some Human currency we're not familiar with? It's still new to me. Though, I don't remember any of them being especially warm." He examines the coin and tries to remember if he had heard about anything like that before, though he doubts he had.
Some check? 1. +2 if History, +0 for any other Int check.
The coin is indeed warm. It's not cooling down either. It's as warm as a living body. Varn is confident that no one has probably heard anything about any coin like this one. It's definitely not human currency of any kind.

Sniv is being silly. There was no blood marking made by Varn.
(OOC: Bump! Sniv is showing the coin to the other two, to see if their arcane expertise might be able to discern something about its nature.)
