Sniv follows the curious kobold out to the backyard and looks around a bit as well. He isn't very bothered by Varn's irritation either and he knows Komos has a valid point so he just moves on.
((Okay I was sure I made a post days ago but it looks like I didn't?))
The stone hut that makes up the forge stands in the yard. Approaching it, the party feels strange fragments of memory bubble up inside their heads. They can't pinpoint why they remember these strange things and from where. The memories are just random unrelated sights and sounds that seem to have pushed themselves into the front of the kobold's minds for some reason.
The sound of metal striking metal
A glint on the blade of a woodcutting axe propped against a wall.
The sound of people giggling
A knife chopping vegetables
A pot of boiling soup.
The forge had a wooden door that was locked by a deadbolt from the inside. This didn't matter though as there was a large hole carved out in the middle of the door by something heavy. The hole is big enough for a human to pass. The inside of the forge is no better. Dried blood is caked against the walls and floors. There also appear to be bits and pieces of torn flesh, organs chunks and bone splinters scattered around the bloody floor. The forge is cold and there are no fires burning. Chunked into the hole of the forge where the fires usually burn are the burnt and blackened fragments of a human skeleton. The only reason you identify it as human is due to the skull, that's still missing a jaw. All the other bones are broken and bent.

Sniv looks at the inside of the forge in awe. "Wow! What came through here must've been massive to do something like this." Sniv steps up to the forge and takes a closer look at the skeleton. He is not familiar with human anatomy, but perhaps his experience around humans and a little bit of divine inspiration will help him be able to identify whether the skeleton was male or female.
Medicine: 12 (Wasn't sure what to roll... But this seemed to fit the best.)
Sniv conveys the information to Varn and Komos and responds to the latter, "Yes... It's weird, almost as if I can sense what had happened here before. Do you think there is something hidden in there?" He asks this last question while gesturing to the forge.

Sorry missed the notification. They've been wack for this thread for some reason I don't know why.
Komos checks the forge but it does not seem like there is anything else there of interest. He does guess that it's been cold since mid-day of yesterday.
Sniv rubs his head as he tries to think about the forge's significance, but after Komos comes up empty-handed he just shakes his head and looks around to see if there is a pathway out of the yard to another house. As he is looking, he starts talking to the others, "Those memories, the metal, the blade, the giggling, the knife and vegetables, the soup. Did you both have them as well?" If they concur, then Sniv starts trying to piece together their significance out loud, "Perhaps they are telling us to find a feast of some kind. Maybe we need to be searching for a restaurant now."
Perception (Looking for another exit to the yard): 23

"It does almost seem as if I remember being here before... Though I'm sure that's not true,"Komos says. "If you'd like to check the restaurant next let us head that way."
"I think that sounds like as fine an idea as any if Varn is okay delaying our leave." If Varn looks hesitant, Sniv adds on to perhaps convince the younger and more impulsive kobold, "It may not always become immediately apparent, but knowledge is power and we cannot defeat a beast if we don't even know where to find it or what it is." If there is no resistance, then Sniv leads the way to the resteraunt.

Varn does look hesitant but is eventually convinced. "Alright, let's go to the restaurant. I'm a bit intrigued myself now. Do you think it's really a large beast? I'm not sure about the hole and all the blood, but why would a beast burn their foe in the forge?" Varn tries to lead the others to the restaurant. "Do you think everyone had gone away in there as well? Maybe we can get some ingredients for future meals."
As you head out of the forge and towards the smith's house, using which you can enter and exit the yard, you hear noises. Due to the fog you can't see what it is and whatever it is probably doesn't see you either but it sounds like there is something in the shop at the front of the house.

"The dogs are noisy,"Varn says. He then calls to them: "Hoy Garu! Keep it down, will ya?"
If the dogs go silent, Varn stops near the unexplored set of stairs. "I haven't gone up here. Do you want to go there before we continue to the restaurant?" If the dogs stop making noises, Varn tries to concentrate and figure out if it really is the dogs. Perhaps the ones living here finally chose to make an appearance?
((Roll: 18. I'm not sure what to add though, Wisdom (-1)? Intelligence (+0)? I don't think any of his proficiencies would help here, so it's probably one of those two.))
((Sorry the map is a bit outdated due to copy-paste. The stairs are not unexplored. They lead to a storage room.))
It seems strange to Varn, there are no barking from the dogs nor are there whimpers. It sounds like something is walking around. There is also the sound of something sharp scratching against the woods.
Varn, if you stop near the stairs, you're going to be in a good spot to get a visual on whatever it is that's in the building but I'm also going to need a stealth check to see if you remain hidden from it.

"It doesn't sound like the dogs..." Varn whispers as he carefully moves closer to a point where he could see more of the front-of-shop room. Stealth: 14
Sniv knows that his armor is not the quietest out there, and so he stays still in the backyard and lets Varn (and maybe Komos) step around to get a better view. As he waits, he pulls on some guidance and waits patiently to see if the other, quieter kobolds' notice anything.

“Certainly unexpected!” Komos says looking around. “Also... do you think we’ve been here before? I can almost hear the forge work being done.”

There does not seem to be any other exit through the backyard, though one can always climb the stone walls around it.
