Nara's eyes snap open, ablaze with golden thaumaturgic light. Her head lolls to the side and both eyes fall on Vurnic. Trembling, and clambering to her feet, her breath quickens before she reenters a barbarian's rage with a roaring infernal curse.
Nara will once again make a reckless attack, slashing across Vurnic's torso.

Gordon, blades dripping with flaming motes of tiefling blood, hears the battle continue only a few paces away. Cries of triumph and agony mix in a torrent of sound. He presses toward the battle. As the leaves part before him one foe remains. As Scarab's sword rises to smite his enemy, Gordon appears like a ghost. Incorporeal he passes through enemies and allies, but he is no spectre. He strikes with such force, Scarab's parents feel it. People in the crowd gasp, and all is still, as the last foe falls...
... leaving no-one left to oppose. Congratulations! Marmaduke, Ogguimash, Nara, and Gordon are Victorious, though still a bit dazed and grumpy about early setbacks, or has that all washed away in the glory?
Zevryl, Vurnic, Scarab, and Pendragon come to some time later in the head medic's office (HMO) battered, bruised, beaten, and burned, but also stronger, wiser, and wealthier. ...
