(I thought when i moved back you decided not to curse me)
(I had decided not to curse when you said the images popped so you didn't take the damage, then did it after all once bdaddly pointed out that the mirror image doesn't happen. The curse happene don my turn before you had a chance to move or not)
Because of the fog, Polly would have never seen you cut yourself to cast the curse, since i had recently fought you i would have still attacked you first to try to get revenge fro last round.

"Polly" Quaf: Aarakocra Rogue level 10 - Coliseum of Conquest
Currently playing in: Quest for the Shunned City, Coliseum of Conquest, DragonDenn's Dragonlords, Shipwrecked on Fugue, Tomb of Annihilation, Razor's Lost Mine of Phandelver, The Lost Kenku & One Grung Above
Currently DMing: Princes of the Apocalypse, Out of the Abyss, Coliseum of Conquest—The Arena (Sometimes)
(I have no blood curses left to invoke to give disadvantage sadly. IIRC I used the first on the griannasaurus rex earlier. The curse on Polly was supposed to encourage him to go for grianne first then try for a mutual death for a draw)
Calgin will fall. With his resources expended his defences are spent. Polly's blade sinks deep and the bird feels a stabbing pain as though he were taking the same blow.
Polly and Calgin both collapse and Grianne is surprised to be the last contender standing.
Congratulations, Grianne!
(I don't love the free for all format.)
Calgin and Polly awaken some time later in the infirmary. Each has gained 7000 xp and 1680 gold.
Grianne closes her eyes expecting to be cut down any moment, but the moment stretches on and no attack falls. Basil presents her to the cheering crowd, but everything seems muted and distant. What happened? She gains 14000 xp and 4200 gold, as time seems to catch up to her in the prize room...
Tier 1:
"Take any one item. We're well equipped." The room contains every item from Chapter 5 of the Player's Handbook weighing 70 pounds or less, armor of varying sizes, instruments, tool kits. There are also spell scrolls, every first level spell is present (as well as spell scrolls of a level for which a magic user of the characters new level would have slots for), and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one of tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.
Upper Tier:
The victor may choose instead, an item from a magically infused chest that summons 10 randomly selected magic items to choose from (rarity determined by level). Alternatively they may exchange a magic item for another item of their choosing of the same rarity or lower, if the administrator has the requested item in his extensive collection. "You name it, we've probably got one somewhere."
Tower:
Calgin doesn't joke around.

(aaaand grianne wins the match! Since that's 38 damage each to Polly and I with my blood curse. Unless you'd rather attack her instead.)

I used my blood curse on polly so if she hits me with a weapon attack she takes the same damage back, plus silver vulnerability on a 19 damage hit...

Ok that whole part of the match got real confusing.
