I can't. BdaddLy said I can cast mage armor before the battle and then use my special spell recover ability before the battle so that I have my 2 spells slots back.

(This does rather trivialise the Dragon Sorcerer's ability.)

(I know. But the advantage of the Dragon Sorcereris that it can essentially cast Mage Armor permanently. Therefore you being able to do what amounts to the same takes away from the Dragon Sorcerer. On the other hand, other wise your arcane recovery is useless since there are no short rests in this campaign. Also, without access to the combat area, Mage Armor is probably the only spell you could use in this way.)

(Does Draconic Heritage trivialize Arcane Recovery or the other way around? Draconic Heritage has other benefits at higher levels... Arcane recovery increases potency with higher levels. Arcane Recovery is the better skill, but little compares to Meta Magic. I'd take Sorc.)

(My conclusion is that it doesn't matter much. It is true that short-rest abilities (coughwarlockcough) are simply not as good nor can they be as good in this campaign as they would be in most campaigns, also conserving resources (ie. spell slots) is not so much of a problem as it would normally be it (coughexceptforwarlockcough), since its safe to throw all your stuff at your enemy without worrying about a Tarrasque who rolled a nat 20 on their stealth check hiding behind the next corner. This makes spellcasters (coughliketempestclericsbutnotlikewarlockscough) more powerful than they are in a regular campaign, which is saying something, since they regularly bend the fabric of reality for funsies anyways, because starting around 5th level they can cast spells consistently every round, whereas normally fighters and such are the only ones who can swing their sword every round the same way without worrying that their blade will become dull and shatter (unless you're playing with BOTW rules). Once again, none of this actually matters.)
(Sorry for rambling. I'll try to clean this up later.)

Does not affect me. As Polly tries to strike Eldon a burst of protective blue magic emanates from him as his mage armor protects him from the attack.
