Round 1 End Summary: The Iron Ball rolls down the hallway; before unfurling. Three mechanical legs; a humanoid torso. Head. Bladed arms. It sits in a position keeping the hallway secure; cutting off Tarak from the others.
Abigail and Lafetha's readied actions don't go off - with the mechanical construct stopping before actually entering.
ZZ attempts to cast Shield; but it fails. (Spell slot is still spent)
Zones: Zone 3: The Staircase that leads up / down Zone 2(A): The hallway between Zone 1(A): The room with the eye
5 other spokes exist (B, C, D, E)
Situation: Tarak (Zone 3) is by the now slide and closed iris gate of Zone 3. A hum comes from the floor near the gate of gears and other mechanical objects; but it's unclear as to where exactly it may be. (Investigation - action). 5 other hallways (2B - 2E) also extend down, each ending in a closed door.
The Iron Ball - now some kind of Clockwork Man - is in Zone 2(A). Blades whirling around; anyone attempting to move through or into the hallway (Zone 2A) will get cut by the blades (29 slashing damage) (DC 19 (Acrobatics, or, Athletics), or DEX Save for half damage).
ZZ, Abigail, and Lafetha are all in Zone 1(A) - the eyeball watching them. ZZ's last attempt to cast a spell used her mental energies, but the spell itself didn't happen.
Abigail looks at the whirling blades, and the minimal area for error in order to get around it...
"ZZ, what are we looking at here? Is there some way to disable this thing?"
Arcana / History on the eye to see if I have ever heard of anything like this, and how to stun/disable it (beyond throwing my dagger at it and hoping that does enough damage): 18
Perception / Insight on the relationship between the eye and the machine (the eye focus on Laftetha, and the machine lilts toward her, or something that gives away any connection between the two - beyond the obvious, the eye called it down): 14
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
ZZ shakes her head from the tingling that happened after her shield spell failed. Squinting at Abigail she turns her focus onto this...machine. Having a focus keeps the anxiety and worry at bay.

Golem: Continues it's spin across the zone DC 19 / 16
Round 2 (End)
Summary: Lafetha attempts to find a corner to cast at the eyeball; but the spell fades. The magic gathering but vanishing quickly. A quick glance of the eye seeming to destroy magical effects. Abigail looks at the eyeball; the fact an organic structure attached to pipes and cables yet seeming to be alive is entirely foreign. A strange kind of science, yet alone for such a large eyeball to exist... being the width of a good sized chair. Unblinking. Alien. One thing she's certain of, now that whatever the mechanical man is, it was alerted by the eye. But is not directly being controlled by it. It seems to be blocking your progress, rather than moving inside to engage.
ZZ takes a look at the Mechanical man. Gears and turbines are powering it from within it's heavy armor. Blade-like-arms designed to cut and dice certainly show it's purpose. You've heard of things like this before; automatons, golems, highly experimental mechanical machines. Your own machines normally need some kind of arcane-theorems to exist and function properly. It's possible this one does too.
Tarak takes a look around; unable to pinpoint the exact area. You're certain there's a latch or lock somewhere that could expose some kind of panel - reset these stairs and the iris gate that closed - allowing you and the team to maybe move forward. But you're unsure where the latch is. Although you do have a good concept of where you could try to strike to hit it... possibly breaking the device?
Zones: Zone 3: The Staircase that leads up / down Zone 2(A): The hallway between Zone 1(A): The room with the eye
5 other spokes exist (B, C, D, E)
Setup:
The Golem/Automoton is in Zone 2(A). It's blades spinning around. (DMG: 16 DC 19 Acrobatics / Athletics / Dex Save, for half damage.) Abigail, ZZ, Lafetha are in Zone 1(A). So is the eye. Magic (and magical abilities) continue to not work. Tarak is in Zone 3. (Advantage on Investigation to attempt to find the latch. Action.) Can attempt to just hit where you think the mechanical structure is (disadvantage on attacks)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Well, as much as I would prefer to keep their toy in tact..." Abigail says as she pull out her daggers, "I am going to hope this throws a wrench into that contraption some how."
She aims her dagger as the whirling mass of blades, and throws.
The Golem: Continues to whirl it's blades DC 19 (Athletics / Dex Save / Acrobatics for half damage if in the zone or moving through it) 30
Round 3 (End)
Summary: Tarak takes a stab at the ground; sword cracking through some of the tile. He strikes parts of the mechanism, but didn't quite break it yet. Abigail tosses a dagger at the Golem, but it simply bounces off its thick armor. Lafetha freezes, while ZZ tries to recall anything. But with magic being so rare and uncommon, doesn't have the knowledge base to know how they're made. But does know that it's likely Highly Durable (200+ HP) and Highly Armored (20 AC). It likely can't work inside the room with the eye. Unless the eye stops, then it would return back to full functionality.

Magic (and magical abilities) continue to not work. Tarak is in Zone 3. Another good hit on the device should do... something.
The sound of people on the other side of the door can be heard; likely guards now arriving to pincer in the team.

"Well, in my condition, I am not going to try to attempt to get around that thing... So, if no one else has any ideas, we need to get out of here..." Abigail says, hearing voices coming from behind them.
Tarak moves and attempts to shove the ball into the next hallway over and out of the way of his friends.
