"Or ye can just run in while spinning Alton. That's pretty unexpected? But it is still on the same path. Hm. I guess we could toss Gotur over the wall? That is probably not the expected path."
If there’s space, Phillip will peek in at what the party see when the door opens. He looks around the room trying to understand what they’re seeing. “Maybe we need to climb on the walls? uh huh?… Or hang on the ceiling?!…”.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Alton chuckles at Evo’s suggestion, but nevertheless offers to use his thieves tools as an option (Sorry, but remind me, these are the locked doors that also were magically trapped based on Eku’s detect magic?)
The halfling gives a final shrug before attempting to unlock the door.
Alton, nope those doors were the ones earlier at the first shrine. These ones, as you begin to test with your thieves tools, you determine are not locked and actually creak open when you push even a little on the door.
I have updated the map with what you see, along with the description below.
A ten-foot-wide hallway strikes off into the gloom (it is dark in this shrine FYI). Carved tiles depicting various beasts decorate the hallway floor. There are alcoves on each side of the hallway as well in the walls.
Thirty-two tiles cover a 20-foot-long, 10-foot-wide stretch of the hallway. Each tile is 2.5 feet, and the tiles are arranged in eight rows of four. The beasts depicted on the tiles are almiraj, dragonflies, eagles, giraffes, monkeys, tigers, warthogs, and zebras.
Eku immediately sees exactly where her detect magic pings were coming from now as well. She sees abjuration auras around all of the almiraj tiles.
How will all of you proceed here? Will all of you try and enter? If so, please tell me exactly where you would step on each of those 2.5ft tiles within each of the 5ft squares. For instance, if you were starting on the SW square, would you step on the giraffe, zebra, almiraj or warthog?
And so on for each 5ft square you pass. If you jump, same deal. Let me know which part of the 5ft square you land on.
I added red squares on each of the new maps so you can see how this is set up.
Beyond the first hallway are two corridors which branch left and right. They are dusty and have some cobwebs lining the walls.
Eku would fly ahead over the tiles and check and she would not see anything past the hallway but is not keen on going in any further alone. I moved her on the map for reference.
Anyone can make a perception check as they look into the room.
Got-miraj thinks at Eku to relay to the others, "Do the unexpected... if they are represented by almiraj, perhaps they'd expect us to step on the almiraj tiles, but those are the ones that seem magicked... but if it's abjuration, is that to prevent us from stepping on it, or some other effect? Or maybe the expected is to avoid stepping on them out of respect? I can go first, if we like... though if it's coded not to shoot the little horny bunnies, it might not trigger if I do?"
If no one objects, Gotmiraj will hop onto the first almiraj tile.

Eku relays everything that Got-miraj thought to her to the party, and then she also thinks thinks back to Got-miraj<Worth a try. Again. Ha!>Eku is in an oddly pleasant mood.
Got-miraj hops on to the first almiraj tile. Nothing happens at first, but then you feel an intense rush of energy inside your little almiraj body.
Got-miraj, you gain 17 temporary HP.
Map is updated with Got-miraj's first move.
Eku is still at the other end of the hallway, waiting and happy that someone is going to try and come with her. Maybe that's why she is so happy.
Orvex says "Intriguing. Very intriguing." and he repeats this "According to the legend of the nine gods, I’jin taught her followers to live unpredictable lives, always changing course and never sticking to a plan."
*I added more detail to the map so you can tell me exactly where you would step/jump to. If you're jumping, you'll have to make a dex check to see if you can land on the specific tile on the square you jump to.
“Are there any big jumps needed? Hmm?… I can go fff-P’irst iffff- you like? Yep yep yep!…”. Phillip is wittering, obviously just concerned for his friend.
”Does the bunny shape, hmm?… make it easy to jump?? Uh huh? ….”, he asks Gotur.
Behind the group, Phillip stows all his gear, but then dons his little shield.
He keeps his main hand free for casting and subconsciously, and nervously, practices the hand and finger motions for his shield spell, so it’s ready at a moments notice.
He’s vibrating and bouncing a little, behind everyone, like a nervous child waiting in line for an injection.
<Eku, that one didn't hurt me... in fact, I feel healthier... but the next almiraj one is too far away...>
Gotmiraj hops onto the...
Odd = Giraffe, Even = Zebra
1
... giraffe, moving straight ahead.
((Despite being an animal that gets around with hops and jumps much of the time, they are small jumps based on strength jumping... 2 ft cleared if he's running up to it, 1 ft if standing still, so Gotmiraj can only take the tiles one at a time.))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Eku will relay the info to the party about Got-miraj feeling stronger after stepping on that almiraj tile. Azaka takes specific note of this...
((Spider, that is a great point about the almiraj movement, thank you. OK yep, Got-miraj has to take it one TILE at a time (vs. one square at a time) ))
Ok so Got-miraj you move straight ahead, still overall on that first 5ft red square, but now specifically moved from the almiraj tile to the giraffe tile on that same square.
Got-miraj, nothing happens.
Azaka decides she is going to try the right side now. Her curiosity gets the better of her.
Azaka steps on to the first right square, but specifically on the almiraj tile. So that is #8 tile on the map.
Azaka feels the energetic rush through her body now as well. "YES! I feel it!"she says as she gets 8 temp HP.
"Or ye can just run in while spinning Alton. That's pretty unexpected? But it is still on the same path. Hm. I guess we could toss Gotur over the wall? That is probably not the expected path."
(If it doesn't have a roof...)
Got-miraj remains!
Evo, the place has a flat roof.
A pair of stone doors seem to provide entry to a large, flat-roofed ruin. You think the ruin is maybe 10-15 feet high.
If there’s space, Phillip will peek in at what the party see when the door opens. He looks around the room trying to understand what they’re seeing. “Maybe we need to climb on the walls? uh huh?… Or hang on the ceiling?!…”.
