((Based on strength scores? Evo's okay with that.))
((Yeah, mostly. 5e gets a bit wibbly when it comes to size and ability to carry, etc.(eg a STR 10 gnome that weighs 50 lbs can carry 150lbs of gear), but seems a stretch to have our STR 8 small folk manning paddles. Canoes only need 1 crew, so Gotur can take one, Evo the other, guides maybe subbing in occasionally.))

((Alton does count as a size small creature... not sure how big of a difference that would make though. I’m perfectly fine with skimming over interactions with the other princes although one think I believe there was one thing I mentioned earlier, but we hadn’t gotten to it yet. Can Alton possibly see about having a meeting with a member of the Emerald Enclave to see what info they might have or help they might be able to offer? It seemed to me like the whole death curse thing would concern their group a lot, so maybe asking the guides he could figure out how to talk to a representative.))
((I don't think small matters mechanically for stuff like that, the only place I'm aware of it factoring in is with heavy weapons. But since Alton and Philip are both small and DEX builds, the Beef Boys™ will probably have to handle the majority of the paddling for power, while the two of you can assist with steering the canoe.))

This might respond to a few different items, but I have updated the 'Princes' tab by adding some other warez that the merchant sells along with the general description for them and what they can offer. We can say that on this day you went to the Goldenthrone meeting palace and all of the merchant princes were there! You were able to see any of them on this last day in the city before you all head out on the journey the next morning. Let me know what you might've bought from them.
Along with the stuff available on that tab, here are the princes that decided to give the party something extra to help the quest and what they gave:
Ekene-Afa would offer the party the 2 canoes for free. "Good luck, brave adventurers. You will need it."
Kwayothé would pitch in 100gp and give you all insect incense. (you already have the salve, now you can also add the incense!)
Zhanthi would pitch in 300gp. (she deals in gems and jewelry!)
Phillip, insect repellent will likely have to be worn every day. If in water, likely reapplied. Not by you of course.
Phillip, none of the other princes are dying of the curse.
Alton, as a refresher, the Emerald Enclave is a widespread group of wilderness survivalists who preserve the natural order by rooting out unnatural threats. They struggle to keep civilization and the wilderness from destroying one another. In Chult, the Emerald Enclave is chiefly concerned with protecting inhabitants from the undead menace. A few guides in Port Nyanzaru and Fort Beluarian are openly associated with the enclave. The faction maintains several well-camouflaged outposts in the jungle. They serve as hidden observation posts, not forward fighting positions.
Alton, on this same day, we will say that you and the party, or just you, went back to the harbor, to a sign which reads "Emerald Enclave". No one was there the other day, but toady there are 2 people beside the sign. Their names are Qawasha and Kupalué, I have added them to the NPC tab. They are members of the EE!
Qawasha is a member of the Emerald Enclave based in Fort Beluarian. The druid travels with a companion named Kupalué, a Chultan word that means “walking weed.” Qawasha often refers to his companion simply as Weed. They communicate with each other using their own unique sign language. Qawasha would like to rid the jungle of its undead menace, so he would've explained to Alton about some of the undead-infested regions. I have updated the map accordingly. These two would also be a guide option, although Azaka and Eku would not work with them as they do not roll up into Jobal.
Ok I think it's back over to you! Let me know what you might want to buy from the princes, or any other questions you have or things you might want to do. Once we finish that, then we can all stay at the cheaper inn again (5sp) and then in the morning the party can set out on the journey. At that point I will go over the travel rules, set up the marker on the map, and get the first departure post out.
During the day at some point, Phillip would ask their guides and the party about two person tents. He would say that he can often sleep out in the open air, and doesn’t mind getting wet. But he would ask the guides if we need to take a few tents and if any of the party has anything like that, and whether we should buy enough tents that everyone could get under cover if need be.
Assuming we can buy tents and everyone is keen to, he would be interested in what colour they come in, and if they come in a colour that would be hard to spot in the jungle (some kind of camouflage would be ideal, or green or brown).
He might also ask Zhanthi, (the cloth prince) if they have any simple cloth that has a camouflage pattern, or a broken-green-and-brown texture at least.
((Can we all assume that we have something like a cloak with a hood, as part of our travelling or adventuring clothes? Or is that something we could buy?))
When Evo hears Phillip talking about tents he says,
"Ye won't be needing a tent when yer with me lad! Aye can fix us a place much better every night, whatever color we need."
Evo would inquire if there is any trade he could do for the shield? A potion of healing plus one of the other potions? Some money and a potion combination?
When Evo says he can go one better than a tent, Phillip can’t believe his ears! “Really?! Every night?? Any colour?!.... fffff-that’s.... amazing! Yup yup yup!...”. He thought Evo couldn’t go up any more in his estimation, but he was wrong!
((If Evo is certain, and If everyone is happy with that, Phillip is! He will still ask about camouflage cloth though, and do we have hooded cloaks?))
Evo, your persistence has earned you a persuasion opportunity. You can roll with advantage due to help and the cause in general.
((You could get camo clothes for sure. Any types of clothes that are in the standard list can be bought and assumed its camo. Hooded cloaks? Sure! If the character would've had one, then yep. And the merchant prince would have camo hoods.))
((I think Phillip and Gotur could use the other shield. Phillip wouldn’t use one all the time but I feel like Gotur could. I’d be happy with Gotur getting one and would support the use of a potion or party funds (assuming we don’t have anything else to spend on). Maybe Phillip can borrow it some times if you need him to ultra tank at any time. Maybe we get it for the group and Gotur has it. He could do with an AC boost most))
