As the small room erupts in chaos, Lucius runs and jumps at Dzaan's face (enabling the next melee attack to have advantage), while Virjor spins around casting Shatter (at a 3rd level) where he stands. He uses his knowledge of sculpting spells to ensure his friends' eardrums don't burst.

A resounding crack rings out as Virjor's spell rips the very air apart, although his colleagues hear only the first splinter of noise before the wizard's specialist skill protects their ears from any harm.
Krintass is visibly rocked by the spell's impact, dust and flakes of flesh tearing away from the sonic attack. Dzaan seems to hunch slightly and resist the worst of the attack, but still looks shaken as he lifts his head up. "I just wanted to try! I wanted a chance to live!"

Thirteen's blade pierces the simulacrum all the way through its chest. The face of Dzaan looks surprised and fearful, staring at the half of the blad which protrudes from his chest and then up at the impassive face of the warforged that has struck him: "I wanted to..."
A look of realisation crosses the simulacrum's face and then determination. He reaches out to touch Thirteen, grabbing the barbarian's bicep firmly.
The disc in the ceiling glows brightly in an instant, bathing Dzaan in a warm light. For a moment he looks happy, before quickly his face contorts in pain: "No! Something's wrong!!"
The figure of Dzaan melts and falls to the floor, at first a pile of snow and ice. The pile begins to liquify and darken, then bubble. Dzaan's simulacrum is gone, but something else is emerging...
Taking a chance with the wand of entangle , Eerie aims at the floor below her and uses a charge shouting 'Entangle'!
Although this may include her in the space, she's hoping the very edge of the entangle with catch whatever is bubbling up from the floor in order to hold it still enough for them to determine friend or foe and not catch her friends in its radius.
