"Oh, look what I found! This could come in handy." She says holding up the key. Then eyes the flask and smiles, "This too come to think of it." Uncapping it and peering inside giving a sniff.
13 leaps over the short wall to the north with an eagerness to hunt, but almost instantly the red haze dissipates and his eyes turn back to a bright blue and he stands still calmly.
"Shall we check to see what's behind these two doors my friends? My head is ringing after that last encounter. Can anyone tell if there is anything beyond those doors? Carric or Foxford, you seem the most alert - what do you sense?"
13 steps into the northern room near the campfire, sword in his hand and hanging loosely by his side and tilts his head to check the area:
13scans the room and sees nothing of value. However, you do hear chittering, subdued voices coming from behind the southwest door and nothing from the northwest or northern doors.
Notiantakes a gulp from the goblin’s flask and recoils in horror. The contents are an abomination, an insult to wine. You get strong hints of putridness, with soft tones of rotten flesh.
Eeriecan hear the voices too, but not make out their origin; they seem to be humanoid and speaking in a form of language, rather than random bestial noises.
Meepo looks around, trying to ascertain if he is really safe, or if he can sense any danger at all. He ponders Carric'squestion for a moment before he answers. "Just goblins and the Outcast. Some of the goblins are big"
He puts his ear to the southwest door and his eyes pop in surprise. "Kobolds!" he exclaims in delight, and before you can argue he tries to open the door. The handle turns but the door refuses to move, clearly locked.
Carric nods at Meepo's enthusiastic discovery. He puts one finger to his lips, silently urging the excitable little kobold to stay somewhat quiet. He takes out his thieves tools and tries to work the lock a little bit. Dex check w/out proficiency 15
Eerie scoops up some pebbles from the ground quietly, just in case, as Meepo clearly wasn't expecting to find Kobolds here normally. ( magic stone ) "Notian, can you understand them? I wonder why they are down here?"
Notian has time to discern that the room's occupants are speaking Draconic while Carricworks on the lock. Suddenly the tumbler gives a satisfying click and the door swings open.
The ropes don't give; they keep slipping through 13's frustrated hands. One of the kobolds, wide-eyed, squeaks in broken Common "The Goblins! They going to sell us back to Yusdrayl. Maybe we stay here and wait to be saved?"
Meepo steps in and appeals to them, "NO! Lots of stabbing going to happen, probably big fighting. Get home now!"
They look convinced; if you can get the kobolds free, they will likely run straight back to the kobold settlement.
Eerie pulls her waterskin from her pack quickly, then hesitates and takes a quick taste of it making sure that it has lost its effect as she suspects. She rushes to the gnome and kneels down to the cage thrusting the remainder of the berries in her pockets to him and tries to help him drink while the others work on the locks. "It'll be ok, we'll get you out. Who are you? How did you get here?" She whispers urgently to the Gnome while she's trying to figure out how to open the cage.
(If the liquid in her waterskin shows any signs of its original effect, she does not offer it too him and will adjust her action to below)
(tasting residual effects from the liquid, she looks about to the others, "Waterskin! Can anyone spare one? Mine still holds the fluid from the fountain." She asks pouring the liquid onto the floor a short distance away. "That will do you no good," she'll advise to the gnome)

"Oh, look what I found! This could come in handy." She says holding up the key. Then eyes the flask and smiles, "This too come to think of it." Uncapping it and peering inside giving a sniff.
The contents of the flask smell absolutely vile, like someone poured cheap tequila into a pot of vinegar.
“I'd love to do a taste test of what’s in the flask, if you’re happy for me to do so”
13 leaps over the short wall to the north with an eagerness to hunt, but almost instantly the red haze dissipates and his eyes turn back to a bright blue and he stands still calmly.

13 steps into the northern room near the campfire, sword in his hand and hanging loosely by his side and tilts his head to check the area:
Perception 7
Eerie passes the flask to him. “I’m not sure it’s drinkable though?” wrinkling her nose and handing it at arms length to him.
“Well, only one way to tell.” Notian raises the flask up to his lips, carefully not smelling it and takes a small sip...
13 scans the room and sees nothing of value. However, you do hear chittering, subdued voices coming from behind the southwest door and nothing from the northwest or northern doors.
Notian takes a gulp from the goblin’s flask and recoils in horror. The contents are an abomination, an insult to wine. You get strong hints of putridness, with soft tones of rotten flesh.
“It’s.... its.... oh god it’s awful.”
Carric listens more closely to the chittering voices, trying to determine if it is more goblins as he suspects, or perhaps something else.
Perception 23
Carric cannot discern the lineage of the voices, but they are not goblin.
Eerie listens to see if its anything that she may recognize. (maybe an animal/insect not actual voices?)
Carric looks to the others. "I am not sure what is behind this door, but it does not seem to be more goblins," he says.
He looks to Meepo. "What else lives down in here?" he asks the kobold quietly.
Eerie can hear the voices too, but not make out their origin; they seem to be humanoid and speaking in a form of language, rather than random bestial noises.
Meepo looks around, trying to ascertain if he is really safe, or if he can sense any danger at all. He ponders Carric's question for a moment before he answers. "Just goblins and the Outcast. Some of the goblins are big"

13 growls deeply in disgust and steps forward to bring his greatsword down in an attempt to separate the ropes from the spike.
