I got a question, do all firearm users suffer a misfire score or is it only the Gunslinger subclass? Especially since it seems like misfire is part of the one of the subclass' feature. Personally, I think it should apply to all guns but this since the Gunslinger subclass is playtest material, I'm not entirely sure how to rule this one out.
The misfire property is a property of the firearm, so any (sub)class that uses it follows it.
Those weapons are sort of part of the subclass feature (in the sense that the subclass is able to craft them and that the weapons and subclass are part of the same homebrew).
Critical role is not playtest, but technically homebrew.
I would say no. The Gunslinger is not official WotC material and all official sources do not have the misfire mechanic. Chapter 9 of the DMG does not have any misfire scores listed for guns. In addition, the Artificer presented in TCoE who also starts with firearm proficiency (with DM permission) does not address misfires.
That said however, if you are using the Gunslinger Subclass in your campaign then all guns should have a misfire score for consistencies sake.
I believe this is a holdover from the fact that the Gunslinger subclass is an adaptation of a Pathfinder class, which makes guns on average more powerful than the statted guns in the DMG because of some unique Gunslinger abilities. Gunslinger is balanced under the assumption that the guns could misfire and has unique traits that make dealing with misfires more dynamic... if you don't have the full suite of gunslinger abilities, the misfire just makes guns kind of mechanically worse than just carrying a crossbow.

That's true, this is homebrew I forgot. Thanks!
