Any advise on returning an already magical weapon to my character, automatically or as a bonus action... rather then an action.?
The Artificer "return weapon" infusion does this but my understanding is it only work on NON-magical weapons (Artificer infusions are extraordinary processes that rapidly turn a nonmagical object into a magic item. The description of each of the following infusions details the type of object that can receive it, along with whether the resulting magic item requires attunement. Some infusions specify a minimum artificer level. You can’t learn such an infusion until you are at least that level. Unless an infusion’s description says otherwise, you can’t learn an infusion more than once)
Or Hexblade: Pact of the Blade which I can re-summon the weapon to my hand as an Action.
you could homebrew a rune that, when engraved on a weapon, gives you that feature (for just that weapon though)...the act increases the rarity of the weapon by one level...cost of materials for the engraving would be whatever the price difference is between the ending and beginning rarity.
There isn't a low investment way to do this for just any magic weapon. 3 levels fighter for eldritch knight is the only way to get it as a bonus action to my knowledge.
I think the Psi Knight can do it a couple times with their pool of dice, but I don’t really remember because I prefer the UA version and use that instead of the official ones.

Eldritch Knight's Weapon Bond does that.
