Hello all. I'm trying to plan a character around the concept of using what is perceived as 'dark' or 'evil' for the greater good of keeping order and peace. I was thinking of a Divine Soul Sorc with an early dip on Life Cleric.
A warlock who has made a pact with a Fiend, Undead or Great Old One in order to have the strength to save their homeland etc. I have a character who follows this idea. Only problem with locks is that their patrons often have other ideas...
Necromancer Wizard. Character was raised by a necromancer, who taught them their dark arts and planned to conquer the land with their undead minions... until they had a heart attack and dropped dead. The young necromancer hated their cruel parent, and sets out to do good. But all they know is how to raise the dead and decay things.
Almost any class could do. You really need to tell us what role you want to fill. Life Cleric / Divine Soul Sorcerer is a great primary healer, but if you want to be a main line healer, why would you take Sorcerer at all? If you are looking to do back up heals, the Cleric levels aren't much use to you. What are you going for? What is the party composition? What level game?
A Drow who became an Oath of Vengeance Paladin might do if you can deal with the penalties.
I'm not planning a character for a campaign per se, more of developing a proof of concept. Looking more of a mix of arcane casting and/or backline support.
