I believe you are probably referring to Polearm Master, no?
Attack, step back without worries (thanks to Mobile) and once the enemy get in your reach, it will provoke an OA. You don’t actually need Sentinel to accomplish this.
If you are trying to permalock a creature to not be able to get within range to hit you, you are going to need the Sentinel Feat, a weapon with reach, and the Pole Arm Master Feat. Mobile doesn't have any inherent interaction with Sentinel in that same way. Also, Opportunity attacks are only trigger when the creature moves willingly and would not provoke an opportunity attack if you move, or if they were forced to move by something.
That being said, a lot of people find this combination to be cheaty and might not allow it. Its also not as good as it seems. You are limited by the amount of reactions you can take, with most of that time that number being one, so if a you are fighting multiple creatures, a creature that can move more then once in a round (Like if it has legendary actions or something), or doesn't provoke opportunity attacks with their movement (Sentinel specifically counters the disengage action, not forced movement or teleportation)
I played a character like this one and honestly, I didn't think it was any fun.
If you are trying to provoke an opportunity attack off of your movement then no, this will not work. OA work when another creatures leaves your reach, not you move far enough away so they are leaving your reach.
I Guess I would need a weapon with reach. Use Mobil to step back. Use a reach weapon to activate sentinal and get my reaction attack?
You need to reread the Sentinel Feat. There's nothing that you can activate by stepping back.
I think you're misunderstanding the second part of the Sentinel feat. It says "Creatures within 5 feet of you provoke opportunity attacks from you even if they take the Disengage action before leaving your reach." If you step back from a creature, you're leaving they're reach, they're not leaving your reach. Moving away from an enemy doesn't give you an opportunity attack against them, it gives them an opportunity attack against you (unless you have the Mobile feat or use the disengage action or if they can't see you, etc.). But moving away from an enemy will never give you an opportunity attack against them if you're the one moving.
